Yes to Coconut Energizing Coffee 2-in-1 Scrub & Cleanser Stick ($7.99) is a new hydrating exfoliating and cleanser stick that washes dirt and oil away while exfoliating skin for a smoother, softer look and feel.

Cleanser sticks were all the rage about a year or so ago and that trend is now moving on to the drugstore it seems. I have a love hate relationship with these sticks. I find them awesome for travel and actually really like a few I’ve tried but I’m also slightly put off by it potentially being a breeding ground for bacteria not to mention stick cleansers can be incredibly messy sometimes. None the less there are ones that have wriggled their way into my heart like the Tarte Frxxxtion Stick 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser.

I actually like this new Energizing Coffee 2-in-1 Scrub & Cleanser Stick a lot but I’m pretty sure some of the ingredients aren’t exactly great for my skin.

One of the most impressive things about Yes to Coconut Energizing Coffee 2-in-1 Scrub & Cleanser Stick is the 2.5 oz size. This is a huge stick compared to others that typically are 1 oz or so. Not to mention the price is right at $9.99 ($7.99 on sale at Ulta at the moment!). It’s a lot of product and a good deal larger and chunkier compared to other sticks like it. I like the larger size as the dome shape covers a lot more area around my face. Not to mention this doesn’t melt down super quickly. Tarte’s version I go through VERY quickly because it melts down quickly. This version melts quickly too but at least you have a lot more product to use up.

It’s part of the Yes To Coconut Skincare which means it is ideal for drier skin types. It has a soft coconut scent but as you massage it on there’s a little burnt coffee note to it as well. I probably wouldn’t use something like this to remove my makeup but it works quite well as a follow up to my cleanser for not only a deeper cleanse but also, as an exfoliating scrub as well. At first application the stick is dense but it melts down fast enough. You’ll want to wet your face first and apply the stick directly onto your skin. Swipe it across your face a few times and after you can start massaging into your skin using your fingers. It lathers up beautifully. If you’ve ever experienced soft water that’s sort of how this feels on your skin. It has a slick, slippery texture on my skin. It also feels like I have to spend a good deal of time rinsing it off as seems like it doesn’t want to go anywhere. I have a house upstate which has soft water so whenever I wash my face, hair, etc…it feels like I’m rinsing and rinsing and rinsing but it feels like I still have shampoo or cleanser on my skin. That’s kind of the same way this feels. None the less, it didn’t dry my skin out nor did I feel tight after using it. The grains are quite refined which makes them softer and gentle on my skin. I was concerned it wasn’t exfoliating very much because of this but came out of the experience feeling quite soft and smooth.

I’m a little iffy on a few of the ingredients here like caffeine but I’m trying to overlook that since thus far I like the deeper cleanse this provides.

Yes to Coconut Energizing Coffee 2-in-1 Scrub & Cleanser Stick was a surprisingly nice pick up and I’m enjoying it. It’s worth checking out if you like the convenience of a travel-friendly cleansing stick that leaves skin feeling soft and smooth without stripping.

Thought caffeine was ok. More research needed. Hey, who knew Yes To was sold in the Netherlands? There’s Dutch on the label. You like the SU:M rose, right? Only tried Julep stick, and it melted and fell down through the push up disc that had holes in it. Not even in direct sun or hot room. Messy. I never put it directly on my face, swiped the konjac over it. Hmmm.

I’m really digging Loreal Revitalift régimen and have restocked. I use the pump, pads and facial cleanser. I have rather sensitive skin and have not gotten any flakiness, redness no bad reaction whatsoever it contains glycolic acid. I notice my face clearer and brighter. The cleanser has mild grains but mild nothing like compared to St. Ives that thing is horrible I ended using it in rest of body-never again in face. Lol!
On lips, same thing happens to me with other sticks besides Chapstick. I tried Burt’s Bees although good a whole piece fell off while running it melts easily. Sticking to Chapstick till death!
