Sephora $50 Gift Certificate for 2000 Points

I have two million Sephora Reward Points burning a hole in my virtual wallet which I’ve never used but today I was tempted by the Sephora $50 Gift Certificate for 2000 points reward. Sadly, it sold out in a blink of an eye. I hope they bring it back because up until now not a single thing has interested me enough to splurge my points on but I’d be willing to give over 2000 points (basically the equivalent of $2000 dollars) for a $50 Gift Card.

You see, Sephora is obviously listening to people rant about how much better Ulta’s Reward System is as Ulta offers cash rewards. Sephora is obviously in direct competition with Ulta but that seems more evident than ever before considering some of the changes they have made recently. For example, this new development of offering points for gift cards and also the new Sephora Weekly Wow deals which is a lot like Ulta’s Hot Deals that offers discounted products for one day only.

Whether you’re Team Ulta or Team Sephora you have to admit some of the new programs Sephora is establishing are a step in the right direction. Of course, there is the fact I had to spend $2000 to get that $50 card……! But hey, it’s still the best reward I’ve seen since they started up the weekly Reward Bazaar.

What do you think?

Are you hopeful they’ll bring back the gift certificate reward?

I sure do!

Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte Lipstick for Fall 2017

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Guerlain is getting mighty serious about mattes for Fall 2017. As you already know, KissKiss Matte Lipstick has launched in a few shades and now Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte Lipstick joins the Fall line up.

I guess we haven’t seen the last of matte long-wearing lipsticks yet as they are coming at us full force this season. Guerlain’s new creamy velvety lip color has the texture of the gloss and the pigment of a lipstick with a smooth, comfortable matte finish rich in hyaluronic acid. It also contains tiger grass which apparently gives the formula a hydrating feel.

Matte lipsticks in general have become a lot more friendly in recent years and the formulas are a lot more easy to wear without sucking moisture from your lips. I suspect Guerlain’s formula will be amazing as their lipstick range typically never disappointed.

Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte Lipstick is available now at Sephora.com for $32.

Are you into the matte metallic rage taking over Fall at the moment? I’m a little unsure how I feel about it. I’m not into either finish in all honesty…..!

How about you?

Bath & Body Works Halloween 2017 Candles Launch

The Bath & Body Works Halloween 2017 Candle selections are starting to pop up and I’m starting the feel the need to hoard because “OMG CUTE LABELS”!

Sadly, the fragrances are a bit blah! They have a Happy Halloween Candle which is scented like Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and Vampire Blood which is a blend red strawberry, jasmine, and plum. I’m one of those people that really isn’t a big fan of Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and Vampire Blood is a scent they commonly do in hand soap. It’s all a bit boring. I wish they’d do some funkier scents for Halloween.

Not that anyone is asking me BUT if I were on the creative control board for Bath & Body Works Candles I’d do scents like candy corn mixed with marshmallow, caramel apple with smoky bonfire notes, apple cider and clove, a bag full of candy with notes of fruity hard starburst mixed with the scents of snack size Snickers, M&M’s, and Twix.

Sadly, that never happens! But I’m obsessed and want these for the labels. They’ll look cute nestled in with my Yankee Candle Boney Bunch display I guess!

I truly do appreciate Bath & Body Works going all out for Halloween but I wish wish they’d stop recycling and start creating some new, unique items for the Holiday and Fall season!

Bath & Body Works Halloween 2017 Candles are available now on their site and launching soon in stores.

Finishing Touch Flawless Hair Remover Review and Muse Approval

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

I’ve had the Finishing Touch Flawless Hair Remover in my review pile most of the Summer. This is a small, discreet, travel-friendly epilator to remove facial hair painlessly. Did you raise a brow at painlessly? I know I did. That’s mostly why it ended up in my “to be reviewed” pile. I’ve tried epilators before and they aren’t exactly pain-free. They kind of feel like I’m giving myself a rug burn!

I haven’t used one in years and I wasn’t planning on giving the Finishing Touch Flawless Hair Remover a chance. It just sounds like a gimmick.

But guess what?

It isn’t.

YOU NEED it!
