I’ve been trying to locate a bottle of Pacifica Dream Moon Spray Perfume in stores since it launched but no luck. I’m finally just grabbing it at Target as it’s 25% off which kicked me into a blind buy purchase. Why is it sold out? Probably because everyone and their mom is saing that Pacifica Dream Moon Spray Perfume is a dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540 or at the very least Cloud.
Don’t come for me but Ariana Grandes R.E.M. Eau de Parfum smells a lot more like BR540 to my nose than Cloud. There, I said it. Sorry! Let’s still be friends ok?
Now, some small part of me has my doubts that Pacifica Dream Moon Spray Perfume is a BR540 dupe just because I’ve read so many conflicting reports. I’d like to say I don’t believe it’s a dupe just because the scent is unique but we all know it’s easy enough to dupe thanks to Cloud and R.E.M.
The scent opens with pink rose, sandalwood, and has a touch of patchouli. The top notes are where you’ll get the initial BR540 hit from according to fans but as it dries down to more of a Pink Sugar scent. Yeah, the Pink Sugar part scared me as I’m not a huge fan of Aquolina’s beloved, cult favorite at all. Strange right? As a gourmand you’d think I’d adore it but I don’t.
I’ll let you know what I think of Pacifica Dream Moon Spray Perfume when it arrives from Target.
