Marc Jacobs Splash Collection for Summer 2011 Marc Jacobs Splash Cocktail Collection
I gave you a brief sneak peek of the new Marc Jacobs Splash Collection for Summer 2011 a few weeks ago. Good news, the splashes are available at Nordstrom now.
I haven’t sniffed them yet but here’s the deets on the three new splashes!
Marc Jacobs Cranberry Splash $68
Pink grapefruit, cranberry pulp, bergamot, tangerine, ginger flower, honeysuckle, ozonic accord, red currant, vetiver, icy musk, precious woods, exotic woods.
Marc Jacobs Ginger Splash $68
Ginger, nutmeg, cognac oil, grandila, geranium bourbon, rhubarb, sandalwood, amber crystals, musks.
Marc Jacobs Curacao Splash $68
Blood oranges, bitter orange brigade, lime, mandarin, violet, pear apricot, white moss, amber musk, sandalwood.
These splashes are inspired by the first sip of a cool, sweet cocktail on a warm Summer day!
Although the notes are given for each splash I always feel the need to smell them myself as they morph into something complex and unique so giving them a no nonsense name like “Cranberry” belittles the actual fragrance inside the bottle. $68 may prove a bit much for some but I personally find these have a great linger and good throw plus the bottles as massive for the price.
I can’t wait to try these out.
Any one (or all three) appealing to you?
I’m liking the sound of Curacao so far!
