What to Purchase During Sephora Friends and Family 2011: Lipglosses are People Too!
So you like lipgloss but you don’t like having to pay $20 or more for a single gloss from your favorite brands?
That’s why the Holidays are a great time to indulge as brands package up glosses in an array of various sets that house smaller, minis sizes (or if you’re lucky larger, full sizes) for half the price. Mini isn’t always better in my personal opinion as I tend to run through them fairly quickly but you are getting variety here and that’s always important. Plus unlike powder products I find that Lipgloss Sets tend to stay true to their formula, ie, the formula isn’t cheapened or reformulated to fit the smaller price tag.
Here’s a few of my recommendations and picks to add to your Sephora Friends and Family order because 20% off plus the already low price tag of the set really makes things all the sweeter!

- Stila Lip Glaze Set Originally $25 After Discount $20 ($2.50 per a gloss)
You can knock ’em all you want because of the packaging but Stila gets you the best deal around with their Lip Glaze Holiday Collection plus they happen to be one of my favorite lipglosses. A single Lip Glaze is $22 and 0.08 versus an eight pack at 0.05 oz…which would you rather haul? One or several!
- Korres Cherry-Picked Cherry Oil Lipgloss Quad Originally $28 After Discount $22.40 ($5.60 per a gloss)
This set features four full size Cherry Oil Lipglosses from Korres, another fav of mine…! I love this set and think it’s an incredible deal to initiate new folks into the joys of this gloss however long time fans may already own many of these shades and PS I do recommend it but warning Light Purple is a crap-tastic color. (Swatches of some of these glosses)
- Lorac Bejeweled Lip Gloss Collection Originally $25 After Discount $20 ($4 per a gloss)
At $25 Lorac’s gloss set is well worth the price but at $20? That’s breaks down to $4 a gloss with each gloss a whooping 0.11 oz in size. Value, need I say more? (Swatches)
- Tokidoki Prisma Gloss Set Originally $32 After Discount $25.60 ($5.12 per a gloss)
Yup, I admit they make me burp some sort of berry cocktail and they the wear time sucks but I do so love the super shiny, mirror-like finish of Tokidoki Prisma Gloss and who can resist a five set? (Review and Swatches)
- Tarte Lip Service LipSurgence Originally $29 After Discount $23.20 ($5.12 per a tint)
It isn’t gloss but the deal on hauling yourself five full size Lipsurgences is to awesome to pass up and not include in this post! After discount you’re paying $4.64 for a full size product that is normally marked at $24…can you say stupid cool deal?
