Dior Diorsnow UV Shield White Reveal BB Creme SPF 50 PA+++ Review & Swatches

Although expensive and on the sheer side, I have to admit my all time favorite BB Cream is Dior Diorsnow UV Shield White Reveal BB Creme SPF 50 PA+++.

It’s not only successfully perfects and creates beautifully flawless skin but it’s a foolproof BB Cream that whitens, brightens, and offers a high level of SPF.

This is what BB Cream should be about.

Originally launched in Japan, Dior Diorsnow UV Shield White Reveal BB Creme SPF 50 PA+++ was something I didn’t particularly like at first use but the more I used it the more I loved it and now here I am on bottle three and still going strong.

This water based BB Cream has a creamy, rich texture that evens out the complexion and gives skin a brighter appearance. Dior uses their own complex for brightening and whitening skin over time in the form of TEC, Transparency Enhancing Complex. I’ve tried tons of BB Creams and most offer brightening and whitening results during wear but not after. I find White Reveal BB Creme actually treats skin so you’ll notice duller skin looking brighter with constant use. Suffering from dull skin is one of my biggest burdens so anything that gives me back some sort of glow or sign of healthiness to my skin is a score and this indeed brings back that brightness associated with youth and good health (not that I’m not healthy but sometimes my skin doesn’t want to corporate and looks dehydrated and blah).

For once I’m going to say the joy here is the sheerness of the formula. Although sheer it manages to effectively create a radiant complexion by evening out my skin tone, adding moisture, smoothness, and plumpness plus easing dullness. Skin just looks flawless and radiant after application. The wear time is excellent as well without oxidizing issues and a finish that doesn’t fade for at least six to seven hours in so my makeup remains fresher for longer.

It is available in a single shade however I find the medium beige color is universally flattering in most cases (I tried it on a few different friends) and adjusts accordingly. I’m not an expert on the MAC range of shades but anyone up to a NC 30-35 should be able to easily use this.

Dior successfully taps into the BB Cream formula with White Reveal and tackles many of the properties we know and love about BB Creams like a high level SPF 50, moisturizing properties, shade adjusting, firming and plumping aging skin, creating a flawless finish, and most importantly allowing skin to breath easily with a lightweight formula.

It’s a little expensive at $50 but worth every single penny in my opinion. This is the US version as I’ve used up my tube from Japan a while back ago however the formula isn’t different at all in my opinion but I did take note that it seems the Asian version was a bit pinker and had a little bit more whitening power. But I think the medium beige formula works a treat for our market and avoids being too “white” for those who aren’t keen on whitening benefits.

This one deserves my full Muse Approval.

I do suggest heading to a Dior counter and just dabbing a little on your hand or go all out and ask a rep to apply some. I think you’ll love it as much as I do.

Sadly that looks way too dark for me 🙁 le sigh.

Btw where’s the muse approved little icon thingy? 😛

    • the Muse

coming up ;-D! waiting on an upload for it! it actually adjusts well, don’t write it off, try on counter see how it does for you. Are you fairer than Josh!?

      • Cj

No thankfully lol I remember him saying he was like nc10, I’m nc15. He usurally has to mix a white base into his foundations, for me the lightest shade usurally works 🙂 I thought I was gonna get a little tan this summer but it’s been raining cats and dogs for the last week lol!

        • the Muse

oh wow..that would kill me 🙁 as much as I love whiter and brighter skin I’d go nuts if I couldn’t find a match and needed to mix it with a base. aw sorry! it’s AMAZING here!

    • Tammie

Same here CJ, I am NC10…so I am practically transparent…

      • Cj

Hey Tammie, have you tried the orange skin79 bb cream? It’s super light, no grey cast, and really good. I think you’d like it 🙂

  • Kelly

Contains Oxybenzone, which is the reason I won’t try it. Oxybenzone is linked to several potentially unsavory side effects. Majority of sunscreens don’t use it any longer because of this.

It’s a bummer because I really wanted to try this one!

    • the Muse

I’ve read a few articles kelly but studies seem to be weak showing any real issues with the ingredient and it still is FDA approved…but I’m def no chemist ;-D

  • kate

MUSE!!!!!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your new website!!!!! it is SO chic and pleasant on the eyes!!! I LOVE the coral!!!!!!! Thank you for not graffiti-ing your page in pink! hahaha I just sent my mom the Skin79 Oriental Gold BB cream and she really, really loves it and she’s super picky about her skin products. She only uses serum, spf, and eye cream and she freaking looks 40 years old, but she just turned 60. Thanks again!! xoxo

    • the Muse

yay kate glad you like! let me know if you have any issues with the new layout ;-D Aw happy to hear it! I really love that BB, it’s a fav of mine so always happy to hear someone as likes it as much as I do.

girl I hope I’m as lucky as her when I’m 60!!!!!!!!!! my pleasure ;-D xoxox happy weeekendddddddd!

  • adriana

Thanx for this review muse, Im getting this one for sure!!!

  • Deb

Thanks for this review Muse, been looking for one and have had no luck. I’ve been eyeballing this hard for a couple of days so your timing is great! Before I leap, a question: like you, I have dry, lackluster skin. But when I see the word “dewy” I just can’t help but think oil slick by noon. Any issues with greasiness in this formula?

    • the Muse

deb dry skin? b/c it’ll look beautiful on dry skin…won’t mattify but won’t look dewy or slick on oily skin….! so you should be golden! I def don’t feel like it is oily or greasiness at all! 🙂

  • Kat

BOO HOO! Will they ever make a BB cream for us tan girls? I’m a NC 43/44. I ordered one by Kimiko – saw it on opensky for $29.00 and I had a $10.00 credit. Have you ever heard of that brand?

Also was was in one of the ladies room in Grand Central and overheard (eavesdropped) a girl talking about a Bobbi Brown BB cream and she said they had 6 colors one which was a blue? Is this something new or only in Asia?

    • the Muse

Kimiko? I’m not familiar with that one Kat. let me know how it is! mmmm the Bobbi Brown BB Cream I got from Asia was only three shades, not sure how a blue one and nothing new from Bobbi in Japan and/or Korea so not sure which they mean….this is the one from M’Asia I have: https://www.musingsofamuse.com/2012/05/bobbi-brown-bb-cream-review-and-swatches.html pretty much the same formula throughout Asia, available in the same shades. from my understanding bobbi will launch it here in June.

  • Hope In A Blog

There’s actually two shades for this BB Cream now.. and also different versions. the new version is from the upgraded line. the shade is also lighter.

    • the Muse

we only have the one shade here in the US Hope and the one formula from the snow collection.

  • Grace

Is it wrong that I’ve never tried this BB cream but kept on saying “Amen!” and “Yes dammit, you go Muse!” every few sentences of this post? 😛 I would totally get this but my old BB creams were whitening ones and whitened a little TOO well (my face is def lighter than my neck haha). Plus this BB is damn expensive 🙁

    • the Muse

lol grace ;-D this is a $$ but I think it is worth it, good experience all around with this little guy ;-D

  • Leah

YES! Something around my skin tone! I know BB creams are usually toward the pale side, but I’m glad its reaching the NC 30-35 range. Not too fond of the price though :/

  • catazure

Silly questions. I have applied my BBs (Skin79, Dr. Jart and Smashbox) a few different ways out of ignorance.
I have applied them over mosturizer and my Dr. Brandt pore refiner or other primer and then applied foundation. I have also applied with different parts of this process left out. I have combo skin, 51 YO with
limited wrinkling (botox and good skin care for 40 years!).
How am I supposed to use the BB?
Thanks – I love to buy this stuff but want to use it properly!

    • the Muse

hi catazure you’re using it as a foundation product…application is best by “palming” it on your face. Place a small amount on the your cheeks and press your palms all around your face to warm it up and blend it in 🙂

  • Paris B

Snap, Muse! I love this one too! Dior just released a lighter version here so those who find this a little too pink and too dark can try getting the Light shade (my link here if I may 🙂 )

    • the Muse

hey paris sorry delayed reply your comment got spammed! me too, great stuff…we only have the one shade here but I liked the one we have better than the pinker/lighter. Surprised the formula stayed the same, as they tend to like to play with stuff when it reaches the US which ends up in NOT good experiences ;-D

  • Melissa

Can you compare the formula/texture to the Dr. Brandt one? I won’t have the money for this one until next pay day but I’m curious before I go swatchie swatchie 🙂

    • the Muse

mmm really different melissa…dr brandt isn’t as creamy and the dior one doesn’t have the self adjusting properties DB has. very different bbs so not a ton to compare. there’s swatches of the DB one in the archive ;D!

  • Lorena

    Dear Muse:
Have you tried the BB from Dr. Brandt?
I got a sample and I like it a lot. I was going to buy it, now I am wondering if I should get the Dior instead.

  • Jules

how do you think this would work for oily skin Muse? I’m itching to try a BB Cream but I’m 100% oily!!

    • the Muse

Jules might be a little rich for oily skin but with a little pressed powder on top could prove flawless. I recommend checking the texture out in store. It’s far from mattifying but it lightweight!

  • Laurie

I’ve never tried a BB before, but based on reviews I ordered Skin79 and Missha and am waiting to receive. Can you review these BBs ansd also, which BB, does your overall highest rating go to?
    Thanks!

  • Kathy

    Dear muse,
This bb cream sounds fantastic I am asian so I would probably like to try the asian formula of this bb cream. Where could I buy the asian version of this bb cream?

  • chiew ting

will it be too dark for fair skin? i always wanted to buy this..but still using Laneige bb creAM.. its always almost the same benfeits as u mention

  • Elizabeth

Could you please explain the NC skin color rating? I enjoy your musings. Thanks!

    • the Muse

hi elizabeth it’s a reference to the mac skin tone range. Hope this helps! aw thank you!

  • Angela

Hey thanks for another great review! I purchased this based on your review and I absolutely love this bb. I like it way better than my dr jart black. I was also wondering if you ever reviewed the Dear rose skin 79 bb? I seen you was going to one post. Thanks!

    • the Muse
