Bare Minerals Holiday 2012

It’s VERY difficult to keep track of everything Bare Minerals is releasing for Holiday 2012. They have exclusives at Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, and of course QVC.

It’s probably one of the most extensive Holiday launches outside of MAC in my opinion. Year after year after year they launch a variety of incredible gift sets. I’ve been slowing blogging some of the Ready Eyeshadow Palettes they have released for the Holidays.

That’s a ton of sets eh?

That Vision in Velvet Set is so freaking tempting and I’m loving the Moxie Lipgloss Sets. I was just ranting the other day that I was worried about a flow of pressed palettes from BE for the Holidays and low and behold they do some loose sets too!

Thank god!

I’m excited.

How about you?

All of these sets are available now at

Let me know your wish list. I imagine it’s grown leaps and bounds now eh? Plus we have to see what Sephora, Nordstrom, and of course, QVC releases for BE Holiday 2012.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh gosh, I hope a lot of people buy that A Vision in Velvet set and post videos on YouTube because I would LOVE to see people come up with lots of different looks. That set is stunning!

I love the RSV Spark A Trend-Shine On set and the Hot to Trot Lipgloss set. The eyeliner sets are really pretty, but I’ll pass on those because of Urban Decay’s recent eyeliner sets. Okay, maybe I’ll talk myself into the Seize the Day set. lol

  • Jen

I was wondering what Vision in Velvet would be!

I want the two Ready palettes and one of the lip sets, for sure!

  • Kate

Wow. There’s something for everyone here. Or, everything for someone (me). lol

I’m not really as greedy as I sound on this site. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Jen_m_sunshine

So I am a bare escentuals virgin with the exception being the foundation. I am scared of the loose eyeshadows because I think I would make a mess of my face….and no idea how you would get color in crease without fall out. That set is SO freakin tempting!!!! ANy comments on the consistency of the lipglosses? I do NOT like anything sticky..

I really want one of the ready 8.0 palettes too….

    looking forward to some swatches!!

  • Jen_m_sunshine

I am still trying to decide what eye palettes I want….laura e/s from sephora….bare escentuals ready -(both of course as I like my neutrals but cool colors are great for me too)….decisions decisions. I ruled out the tarte collections…..but now the vision set has been added. even tho I have never used the loose – go big or go home!

      • Jen_m_sunshine

the tarte is too “colorful” for me. They don’t look in your face color or anything – but given i work in a “good ol boys corp office” i tend to keep my makeup in the very neutral family. Once and a great while a bright lip.

Can I just agree with everyone about that Maybelline coral gloss on you? I mean, seriously Muse, you own that color! It just lights up your face and works for you! I couldn’t pull off that shade….jealous.

  • Jen_m_sunshine

Umm, on a side note Muse, I just looked at Ulta online and I “THINK” they have a different set of the Lorac eye candy… might be the same but the other names look different… WHY WHY WHY WHY do they do this to me!

    • the Muse

LOL yeah I scheduled a post about it to go live later tonight hehehehehehehe! looks like three exclusive holiday products from them! Noooooooooo!

  • Jen_m_sunshine

The ulta set may be my ticket as I like the set from sephora but my least fave part is prob the lip/cheek tints and eyeliner…hmmmmm

    • the Muse

I was thinking the same thing and wrote that in my post that’s up later tonight! I could do without the cream products and just love the shadows so this might be better for me ;D!

      • Jen_m_sunshine

Too funny that we had the same impressions! Now I will be stalking your post tonight when I get home….

  • Kim

I’m a big bareMinerals fan so I want everything except the Marvelous Moxie sets. I’m not a fan of the Moxies (do not like the clove scent). I already have the Balance and Boost beauty set and it is nice, but my fav mineral veil though.

  • Robin

Oh I want the Cool as Ice lippies and one of the eyeliner sets! How are their eyeliner pencils? Good staying power?

Oh no! A new LORAC set?!! I didn’t like the one for Sephora; was hoping that was it so I wouldn’t be tempted. Uh Oh!

  • Becca @ The Beauty Sample

    *gasp* I WANT that RSV Spark A Trend-Shine On kit–sooooo pretty!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Lauren

MUSE YOU’RE GONNA DIE!! I just spent literally all day at a conference call where we got to play around and see everything in person, and I gotta tell you, you’re gonna ADORE that pink blush from the Simply Irresistible kit! It’s brighter than Fruit Cocktail, but instead of being a powder, it has Silica in it to give it a silky, cheek-tint feel. I already splurged and bought both of the 8.0’s, which are gorgeous by the way, and I plan on buying multiples of these sets for myself and family members ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Amber

I was ranting about the palettes when they started showing up too! I’m glad they didn’t forget about us loose girls this year. I am seriously hoping that the Q tsv is all loose unless they put in the new concealer or something. I don’t like the ready’s very much. I have combo skin and for some reason they don’t show up as well on me and I have to put on a ton! ๐Ÿ™‚ Color me happy to see the loose though and a new cheek stain! I love flirt!

    • the Muse

haha like minds amber! I love my loose stuff too! I’m so excited to see what the Q has in store for us, hope it’s awesome!

  • Darkeyedfran

I bought the Vision in Velvet set and I am in love with it! This is my first time using bare minerals loose eyeshadow before and I’m very pleased with how lovely and unique the colors are. The wear is great and you can even use the charcoal, blueberry, and brown matte shades as liners. I felt better after thinking that each shade was 4 dollars…the price tag is quite a lot

  • Lisa

I want both of the Moxie gloss sets, but Sephora only has one of them ๐Ÿ™

  • Lisa Marie

I picked up A Vision in Velvet today at Ulta for 49 bucks. It originally sold for 79. I am excited to play with it. The green shades look so fun. I love this lines mattes. I have used then for years. I also think the matte taupe will be a great brow color for me. The pinky colors I am certainly going to try as blush and also place them on my lips. In the past, when I use then on my lips and put balm or gloss over it makes for a fantastic look.
