Bare Minerals Seize the Day Round the Clock Wateproof Eyeliners Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

The Bare Minerals Seize the Day Round the Clock Wateproof Eyeliner Set is one of two gift sets the brand introduced with their Holiday 2012 Collection. I’ve already reviewed and swatched the Night Vision Set which had this incredible, “OMG I can’t live without you” shade of metallic gold.

Here’s a glance at the Seize the Day Set which introduces us to some nice everyday liner shades!

This set includes 1 Full Size Round the Clock Eyeliner and 4 minis plus a sharpener for $29.

The set includes one Round the Clock Eyeliner in 5 PM (0.04 oz), a classic plum and four mini liners (0.02 oz) in 1PM (Teal), 3PM (golden brown), Noon (midnight blue), 10AM (khaki green).

These liners have a creamy, smooth, easy to apply and smudge out texture. Upon dry down (just a few seconds after application) they set for all day wear and I have no issues with fading, flaking, or smudging (I have drier eyes)

The Night Vision Set includes mostly AM shades versus this set that includes more PM shades.

5 PM, 3 PM, 1 pm, 10 am, Noon

The shades lack and glossiness but some do have a little hint of sparkle such as 3PM which has golden sparkle. Many of these shades are exclusive to this set so you won’t find them in the other gift set nor will you find them in the general catalog.

Two pencils would cost you $30 and this includes the equivalent of two fuller sizes. At $29 it will save you a dollar and you get one extra mini pencil as well as a sharpener.

I had issues with the caps on the other gift set but I’m happy to report I didn’t have that problem with this set so I guess it was just a fluke! Thank goodness because I kept breaking off the tips in my other set when forcing them open and closed. The pencils are extra soft so be careful when sharpening them to avoid the tip breaking off quickly.

Overall, it’s quite a nice set of liners with a range of colors that are easy to use in daily looks. I actually felt some of these shades were even more creamy than the ones available in Night Vision.

The set is available at Ulta, Ulta.com, and www.bareescentuals.com

Thank you for the review! This is a set that I’ve been wanting! Now talk me out of the Cool as ice gloss set, pleases?!

    • the Muse

lol robin that’s a little harder as I like the moxie sets a little too much ;D

  • Nat

Muse (or anyone for that matter!), do you have any tips for using eyeliner? I like to tightline my eyes (upper lashline only, not waterlining), but no matter what I do it ends up on my lower lid. I’m constantly having to check in the mirror throughout the day to keep wiping it off! I’ve used water proof, non water proof, pencils, powder, liquid pens, setting with powder, nothing seems to do the trick! Any pointers? 🙁

sorry nat…I’m not really sure….oily lids? perhaps a drier pencil would help? glossy/creamy ones tend to have issues staying in place if you have oily skin.

Nat, Tarte has a primer that is waterproof shadow primer the AC one. This BF sale she has a 30% off(most of the time) get one and put it on with no oils or moisturizer on your eyes them liner them set with her AC finishing poweder. Hope you can get it one and none in your eyes. Use a very small brush to set in your lash line. HTH 🙂

Looks great for smokey effects. Not bad for the price as well. Thanks for the swatches 🙂

  • Kiss & Make-up

Oooh, great collection of colors, and indeed very good for every day use. I like!

Ugh. I want, but I keep talking myself out of buying this because I bought UD’s Ocho Loco set (and I’m currently going steady with that set), but you’re making it harder to resist this set (that is mostly made up of similar shades, going by your swatches).

Maybe if I focus on work, I can put this set out of my mind…..

    • the Muse

kb don’t, ocho loco has all the shades you need, would be a waste to go with more of this unless you know you use a ton of eyeliner ;-D

      • K.B.

I will take your advice, oh great and knowledgeable Muse!

Now I can spend that $29 elsewhere…. (evil laugh)

I didn’t think I would like any eyeliner better than UD, but BE’s eyeliner is actually better to me. It does not budge, period.
