You NEED: E.L.F. Studio Concealer Brush

I’m the type that has applied concealer using my fingers for years and years and years. I’ve never met a concealer brush I like to use. Most have thin bristles and don’t really do very much to get concealer into place.

After discovering Sephora’s Concealer Brush my life changed but prior to that and forever after my main concealer brush squeeze is the three buck E.L.F. Studio Concealer Brush.

You NEED it!

I dunno what it is but the E.L.F. Studio Concealer Brush is just life changing. This is a flat head brush with stiffer bristles. I like the way I can dip into concealer and stroke it into place as I would painting a wall. Yeah, I know, painting concealer on doesn’t evoke any images of flawlessness but I promise it works!

As you stroke concealer on you can gently follow up by patting it into place. The brush enables you to stroke it under eyes and provides a smooth, flawless finish for concealer no matter what formula you’re using. Liquid, mousse, cream, you name it and this concealer works fantastically to apply it.

If you’re typically a finger girl when it comes to concealer I highly suggest checking this brush out. It’ll change how you apply concealer.

Loves it.

You NEED it.

Muse Approved for purchase!

I purchased this item.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. What a great brush, not only is it cheap, it also is stiff and works!! great find!

  • mitheena

i find putting on concealer on my face and then blending it with a brush works wayyyyy better than actually dipping the brush into the concealers and then applying it 🙂

  • Amy

I always use my fingers but have been interested in trying a brush for concealer. I will definitely pick this one up. Thanks!

  • Tiffany Martin

I’m a finger girl but fingers are gross. I’ll put this on my list to haul when it’s ELF time again (that’s the time I haul tons of ELF).

  • Kmmyp

GAAAAH! Going to the nearest elf store now!
I should have gotten that instead of their concealer palette
    #wrongdecisions lol

  • Sarah S.

*adds to elf shopping list* I can’t remember which blog but someone else had said they prefer the Sephora concealer brush to this one… at $3 and with Muse Approval, though, I certainly can’t resist! I got the Sephora one in the VIB sale but you can’t have too many brushes, right? 😉
To be honest, I wind up using eyeshadow brushes for my undereye concealer all the time anyway… still gonna indulge, muahaha!

    • the Muse

there are diff sarah I actually use both together sometimes 😀 absolutely the more the merrier hahaha!

      • Rebecca

Thanks Muse. I use the elf one daily, and have been eyeing the Sephora one a lot lately too lol

        • the Muse

my pleasure both are excellent brushes and I really think you can benefit from using both together or even separately. today is the last day for FF so you can get the sephora one at 20% off ;-D plus I believe ELF has free shipping this week too so that helps ;D!

Elf Studio is excellent, so far no duds. I don’t understand why they still offer the other cheaper line. The quality difference is abismal, and in the end I think you’d spend more if you buy the cheap ones as they shed and can get stiff after washing them. I don’t like their online coupon codes though, lately in Spain they’ve been random and weird!

    • the Muse

they have been random and weird here too don’t feel bad lol! and agreed, no idea why they keep the regular line of brushes/cosmetics, it is awful! I prefer the Studio Collection!

      • Marta

Yep. 10 times more quality for just 2 more dollars (or euros). I really don’t get it, and lately I see it even as a trick: people go to the site, have hear “the brushes are cheap but really good”, get the cheaper ones, and next time Studio, so ELF gets a sale twice? I honestly don’t see how else could it work!

  • Karen M

I have several of the studio line brushes & love them. Now I guess I have to add this one to my collection.

  • BLee

I need to pull this out. I have it. But I have about 10 of the white e/c brushes for packing on shadow. They are the best and I have a ton of higher price ones but I always come back to my elf ones.

  • jasmine

it sheds CRAZILY!! i had this with the studio brush, when i washed them, they both shed SO MUCH, i couldnt really wipe them dry(prepping for sun drying) without losing 20% of the hairs. ughh, headache-y, my bodyshop brushes(even though theyre cheap) didnt give me these headaches…

  • Jackie Diane

Muse, I’ve always been a “blend concealer with my finger” girl too and I finally got around to ordering this brush and using it. I’ve been trying it now for a couple weeks and you were right, I do NEED this. Thanks for the life-changing post!
Also on a note, I have several E.L.F. Studio brushes and I’ve never had a problem with shedding or loose ferrule. The ones I’ve had a problem with have been me just being too rough with them. And, that’s kind of okay because I can replace them for $3 each.

    • the Muse

jackie I am SO a finger girl as well. Never liked nor needed concealer brushes felt like they were a waste of time. but this thing works so great at “painting” on concealer! I’m SO glad you discovered it and felt the same way ;-D did you by chance try the Sephora Airbrush Concealer Brush too? That’s also life changing ;-D some are great, ELF brushes that is, but others I sometimes have roughness with as well and occasional shedding, the studio line is excellent though and great for three bucks!

      • Jackie Diane

No, I haven’t ever picked up the Sephora brush. I’ve debated it in the past, but always felt like you said that they were a waste of time (and money). I’ll have to make a point of picking one up on my next trip though. And, I’ll feel even better about it by using my new VIB discount!
        Thanks for the life-changing, Muse!

        • the Muse

me? no lol must be someone else. I’ve never said that about Sephora brushes ;-D I’ve actually always raved them as being on par with MAC ;-D ha…my pleasure! Hope you like the Sephora one as well!

          • Jackie Diane

Ha no. I meant concealer brushes, not Sephora brushes! I think the Sephora brand has some quality stuff. I’ve heard you rave about them also and I totally value your opinion.

          • the Muse

oOOOOOOOOOO I was like me saying no to sephora brushes? ;-D aw thanks chica that’s VERY flattering and yes, agreed, typically I’m all “concealer brush? what for? I got fingers..” but I absolutely love this brush ;D Happy New Year btw as I don’t believe we spoke prior ;D

  • haru

thanks so much for this muse! it is such a great, cheap find. i love it. i thought concealer brushes were useless, but this made me change my mind.

and i wouldn’t have found it if it hadn’t been for you.
