Aminute Smart BB Cream Vibrator Review

I was gifted this item by a friend, brand, or family member.

Aminute Smart BB Cream Vibrator

You know that awkward moment when your best friend’s boyfriend turns to you at dinner in a crowded restaurant and says rather loudly, “Oh my god is that a vibrator in your purse?” And than your best friend proceeds to turn to you and he says rather loudly, “Oh my god your have a vibrator in your purse?” And they both proceed to give each that arched eyebrow look, like, we must explore this!

Suddenly, the entire table turns and looks at you and as if they practiced it, they all say in union, “Seriously?!”

Why does this stuff always happen to me?

For the record it isn’t a bloody vibrator. Get your mind out of the gutter everyone. Just because my “real life” friends go there doesn’t mean you, my online friends, have to as well!

Aminute Smart Vibrator

I admit it looks like a vibrator…but actually it’s a vibrating BB Cream (or foundation) sponge. At the moment vibrating sponges have found a HUGE following in Korea and are packaged with many BB Creams. BRTC has started offering their BB Creams packaged with a vibrating sponge device as well as Etude House and many other brands. It’s kinda the in thing at the moment and much like the idea behind Lancome’s Oscillation Powder Foundation.

I’ve actually tried a ton of these and some work, some don’t. In the case of the Aminute Smart Vibrator I’d say it was a definitely yay. You can use it with either cream products or powders the choice is yours.

It flicks on with a small push of a button and basically has a very hard vibration. I find softer vibrations don’t actually do anything but the harsher vibrating of this unit is what aids in refining the texture of your BB Cream to create a smoother finish. Granted, there are SO many tools and ways to apply BB Creams and your palms and hands are pretty your best friend to do so in my opinion.

However, a vibrating sponge actually does have its own benefits. I find you can get a smoother more airbrushed appearance with a vibrating sponge than that you would get with just a regular sponge. The creamier formula of a BB Cream is thinned out, spread evenly, and allows for a more flawless, even application of the product. It also leaves you with a second skin-like finish that’s very natural.

Do you really need a vibrating sponge? Probably not especially if your friends are bound and determined to discuss it at the dinner table…!

But hey, beauty gadgets are cool sometimes!

I got this as a gift with purchase on E-bay from F1Plus2 (Not affiliated). You can buy one from her shop for a few dollars or as I said many BB Creams are now sold with a vibrating applicator of some kind so if you’re buying a new BB Cream anyway might as well get the pack with the sponge too! Sasa.com has many of these gift sets available from BRTC and other brands.

i fear this would become a serious hotbed of bacteria after a few uses. ewwww.

        Hey!

The sponge applicator is on a screw on plastic top that you can screw off to clean. Though it absorbs the foundation in deep so kinda needs heavy duty stuff to do it lol. But I think if you do it right after (so the foundation / BB doesn’t have time to settle in) it will be better? I cleaned mine and sprayed it with my antibacterial brush cleaning spray!

PS – that means the sponge applicator is replaceable. I haven’t seen it on offer at the ebay store but I’m sure if you asked her about it, she’d include it / sell it for a low price since the actual vibrator itself wasn’t too expensive to begin with. They are also really light!

Muse Muse Muse! Pro tip! Use it to apply your clay masks! It really gets in your pores and you can totally feel it working 100x better, I do a thin layer with the sponge and then a slightly thicker one with my hands, works like a charm 🙂

    • the Muse

OH crap TOTALLY doing that hehe. I have another and was trying to decide how to use it. you rock hubby! gimme a hug!

You’re officially the beauty blogger I most want to buy a beer. Also “your palms and hands are pretty your best friend” AHAHAHA you should have let your dirty minded friends proofread this. ;P

    • the Muse

*wink* 😀 I’ll let you buy me a Shirley Temple ;-D I don’t drink beer hehe!

This is exactly why I fear bringing one of these onto a flight. Knowing my luck, my baby faced self always gets pulled aside for ‘random checks’ and lo and behold a tsa agent finds this and somehow clicks on the vibrating option for all to see.

I saw this at f2plus, and I was halfway getting one, but then I decided I didn’t need it… It’s actually strange how words can attract your attention in THAT way, don’t you think? I mean, I would have never noticed it if it weren’t for the vibrator part 😀

  • MJ

Hooray! I was actually considering getting of these. :3 Hilarious story btw. XD

  • Elin The Cupcake Cat

LOL!! The vibrator part hooked me in 😉 and now I want to try this magic tool 😛

  • Quinctia

…yeah, so it’s a vibrator. XD Just one with a SPONGE on it! Hahaha.

I was just in the Honolulu the Face Shop and they had a BB cream with vibrating applicator set for sale prominently on display on the front table as you walk in. There was a large poster board with beautiful flawless looking models. I’m guessing it just came in since it was given so much real estate. Sorry but I don’t remember the price.

      • Jennifer

        Yes, the black one!!!!
Different topic: there is also a Nature Republic store in Honolulu now! The prices are amazing (supposedly the prices are the same as In Korea), much better than eBay! I’m kinda in love with the Forest Garden Argan one step oil to foam cleanser.

        • the Muse

hey jennifer! good excuse for me to get back to hawaii ;-D

    O.O

I wonder if this would even be allowed to ship to La, seeing as you can’t order other….buzzy….items 😀 sounds worth checking out though!

    • the Muse

seriously!? I didn’t know that lol! CA the land of pr0n and can’t ship “buzzy” items!? whoa 😀

  • lil-bee

    Hey Muse,

So I decided to get this but not completely sure how to use it? Do I pat it in, or rub it in a circular motion or what?

    • the Muse

hi bee! apply your foundation/bb cream to the sponge, turn it on, and gently massage around your face in a circular motion. same gentle touch as you’d use with the clarisonic cleansing brush.

      • lil-bee

        Hey Muse!

Thank you SO much for such a swift reply 😀 I saw the mail and thought it was just a notification that I wrote a comment lol. Anyway so after I wrote that I scoured YouTube (kind of warily LOL) searching for vibrator cream applicator and saw that they all kind of rubbed it around. Did that and the coverage was a total flop .. maybe its because of my BB cream (Missha Perfect Cover) being light coverage. Anyway I tried to pat it in (my friend said thats how BB creams were originally marketed to be used? :S) and it was a bit better, but takes way too long haha. Plus I think I just don’t have the skin for using these puffs .. will stick to my 3 minute application time with the Elf powder brush! I tried it with some foundations too but same result .. I think I’ll use it to just apply powder, or cream blush or a thick foundation, like Dermablend, or one of those compacts!

Opps sorry for the huge comment lol.
