Diorific Long Wear True Colour Lipstick

Diorific Royale Long Wear True Colour Lipstick ($36) is one of three limited edition shades that launched with the Dior Golden Winter Holiday 2013 Makeup Collection.

It’s actually a creamy shade of neutral golden pink with specks of delicious golden sparkle in the mix. However, it is one of those shades I’d avoid as it runs a touch cooler and I prefer warmth in my lipstick shades.

But this surprised me, YOU NEED IT!

This year the Diorific Lipsticks are a little less traditional and a lot less bold compared to last year’s selection. Diorific Royale Long Wear True Colour Lipstick is testimony to that. Housed in a golden dumbbell like case this elegant lipstick reeks beauty and sophistication. It has a light rose flavor and scent that lingers during the wear and provides full coverage on a single application. Royale is a tad drying if my lips are already dry to begin with so a bit of a scrub and balm prior to application might be necessary if you’re prone to dry lips. It feels a little tiny gritty during the application but doesn’t tug and applies smoothly. The wear varies but I can get from 4 to 5 hours without a touch up.

The color is what’s special here though. At a glance it looks like a step darker from a neutral pink perhaps with a bit more rose thrown in. But applied it takes on a beautiful golden hue that’s part pink, part golden, and a little coral. It’s very pretty and unique to my own stash of more warmer lip colors.

This one is a keeper.

It really is a stunning shade! Not traditional Holiday but well worth the indulgence! You NEED it!

I don’t really like the one Diorific I have – Coral Hip-Hop but Royale is so stunning on you, I’m putting it straight on my Christmas wishlist. What blush are you wearing here, Muse? Looks very pretty!

  • Celine

Looks very pretty on you! The blush you have on is also a nice compliment to the lipstick. I’m such a fan of Dior lipsticks, one of my favorite brands for that.

  • Barb

I adore this lipstick on you and must have it! I have looked online and cannot find it. I wonder if it has already sold out?

  • karin

What is the name of this color? It’s very pretty, but doesn’t look any of the colors on Nordstrom’s website. Thanks!

  • Amy

This color is GORGEOUS on you! *_* I am definitely seduced by the packaging already. Ahh!

Was this for sure sold in the US? I never saw this for sale with the other three colors (Winter, Minuit, and Diva). I see it’s still available in the UK and Singapore, etc, and those regions usually get different releases than the US.
Also, it looks lovely on you. 🙂

thanks Sharon. Yup, if you look through the comments I posted a link directly to it for sale at the website 🙂

I asked my mom to get this for me from duty free in Malaysia after reading your review, but it seems that the Asian release is completely different! Instead of the dusky pink, my Royale is more of a matte dark fuschia. It’s still super pretty, just not sure I’ll get as much wear out of a bolder colour.

ugh that’s awful sorry to hear it yuvee! I guess the Asian/US releases are vastly diff!
