Roc Multi-Corrextion 5-in-1 Perfecting BB Cream Review & Swatches
Roc Multi-Corrextion 5-in-1 Perfecting BB Cream ($24.99) is a new lightweight single shade BB Cream that’s infused with Roc Retinol. It’s formulated to protect skin with an SPF 25 while it fights fine lines and wrinkles while improving dark spots, smoothing, evening, and brightening skin tone.
Let’s take a look!
Roc Multi-Corrextion 5-in-1 Perfecting BB Cream isn’t exactly a groundbreaking anti-aging BB Cream after a quick look at the ingredients nor is it your standard full coverage BB Cream.
I think it might be slightly overpriced at around $24.99-$30 as well.
If you can get past the sheerer coverage and the price tag you might like this.
Available in a single shade Roc Multi-Corrextion 5-in-1 Perfecting BB Cream is a self adjusting formula which offers sheer coverage that evens out skin tone, hydrates, and creates a smoother appearance on skin. This is the type of coverage those with already good skin will enjoy because it’s lighter and perfects versus actually concealing or covering your skin. The formula is creamy with a soft, dewy dry down on skin. It wears for a shorter time at around four hours before the even skin tone finish disappears. Apparently it’s supposed to improve the appearance of dark spots while fighting lines and wrinkles. It might improve the appearance of dark spots slightly by brightening the area but likely won’t treat dark spots.
The color adapting technology seems to work fine for me as the color goes down a shade as I apply it. It starts out quite a darker beige but goes a hint lighter beige during application. I like coverage like this in all honesty as it’s sheer, allows my skin to breath, and merely perfects but doesn’t conceal. Honestly, I have good skin so I don’t really need to conceal problems however, I do require something to even out my skin tone and ease dullness. This address both issues fairly ok. The formula also contains an SPF 25.
On the down side I think the price is a bit much for what you are getting. At this price you can afford to indulge in a higher end tinted moisturizer which will likely offer a bit more color coverage, a better formula, and a wider range of shade selections.
Roc Multi-Corrextion 5-in-1 Perfecting BB Cream is one of those products that doesn’t quite translate well. Is it a tinted moisturizer? Is it a BB Cream? Some sort of skincare treatment? Because it really doesn’t do any of these jobs too well….I think the texture is beautiful but in all honesty you can get the same if not better coverage from Ponds Luminous Finish BB Cream at a quarter the price. I think that’s where things went down hill for me as I might be likely to rave this as fairly nice sheer coverage but at near $30 I do wince at recommending it.
Oh well!
