L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer Review & Swatches

L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer is one of three new Visible Lift products that are part of the L’Oreal Fall 2014 Collection launching at drugstores soon (I got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond).

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer is a surprising little product. Up until the greatest drugstore concealer I ever did love was Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer. Drugstores concealers, for me, are a dime a dozen. They just don’t work. Either they are too sheer or too dry and I’m never completely happy with their formulas.

Now L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer comes into my life and I have to say it gets the job done and gains my Muse Approval.

Concealer junkies, you’re going to like this one!

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer gets everything right! Ok, don’t be alarmed, it’s runs a little sheer but I’m happy with the coverage it does provide! I’d say it almost hits the medium coverage mark but not the full coverage one. I have fatigued looking eyes with puffiness, finer lines, and a little bit of darkness. This does a great job of treating all my issues!

It’s currently available in three shades and will likely be a permanent product. It comes housed in a squeeze tube that contains 0.6 oz of product. At first the consistency reminded me of Lancome Effacernes Concealer but I realized quickly it’s a bit thinner and much more moisturizing. Yes, you read that right, it’s quite hydrating and pleasant under my drier eyes. The creamy texture has more of a gel-like consistency and blends easily under my eyes. I didn’t have issues with it creasing into my finer lines and it does not look cakey on. It’s a very natural, second-skin finish which I found impressive! There was no tugging involved to get it into place and almost immediately after application my eyes looked brighter and the skin under them looked smoother. It concealed a majority of my problem areas but if you have severe dark circles you might think it’s a bit too sheer. It wore for at eight hours set with powder and about six without powder.

I can’t say enough good things about this little concealer. I’m shocked and delighted! It’s thin, moisturizing, feels great under my eyes, brightens things up, and almost immediately my eyes looked less tired and perkier! It wears well for me, applies easily, seriously am I being punk’d? I’m just so used to picking up drugstore concealer and being terribly disappointed with the drier texture!

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer is fantastic!

I see it making a lot of concealer junkies being very, very happy with this launch.

I located it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond but I also recommend Harmons and Christmas Tree Stores as the stores are all related!

If you try it, please do share your thoughts.

It gets a big Muse Approval from me!

i wanna say yes but I’m not really an expert at concealer use on face (I don’t use it on my face). You might want something a little thicker for use on blemishes…!?

    • jane

I just used it on my face for a bunch of pimples that I popped – they were all really red and this concealer hid them very well

  • Lacy

If there’s one thing I am it’s a concealer & mascara junkie. Totally going to pick this up once it hits local shelves! Thanks for a great review as always! 🙂

  • Jeanette

I’m in the market for a new concealer and this one looks perfect. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention, I may have grabbed the “same old same old” if I didn’t see this.

  • Robin

So glad I saw this because I’m almost out of my Lancome Effacernes and this looks like a great replacement! The “light” shade looks to actually be light enough too. Thanks Muse!

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure robin let me know what you think if you try!

  • kellly

  • Jenny

Just bought this and I absolutely love it. I know this review was a month ago but it was very helpful 🙂

  • Melody

Gah! Only thing is $13 for drugstore concealer?! The prices of some drugstore items lately has my jaw dropping! Especially if there’s no tester, LE sigh!

  • Melody

Know what I caved and got it and as usual your review is spot on 😉 Pretty amazing stuff for drugstore. Like you said, not quite thick enough for all my severe under eye but works wonders nonetheless. Thanks hon!

  • Nanci

Dear Isabella, thank you for all of the reviewing that you do!! I depend on your reviews because I am a cosmetics junkie but can’t afford to buy very much. I am responding to your review of L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer. I have severe dark under eye circles and use two shades of Lancome Effacerne with Maybelline cover stick underneath, powdered with L’Oreal HydraPerfect loose translucent no color. I also agree with you about drugstore concealers, my experience is that they do not cover well enough and are too yellow-based.I would love to find a product that is more budget-friendly than the Lancome and might give this a try–with a coupon and sales. With my cover stick underneath it might work for running errands when I don’t need superior coverage and could save money by not using up the Lancome that fast. Thank you again.

oh nanci you’re so welcome 😀 You should try It Cosmetics Bye Bye Concealer. It’s a little expensive but It Cosmetics often has 20% Off (check retailmenot.com) and you’ll likely get a very very very long time out of it because it’s super concentrated so a little goes a very long way! You’ll love it for dark circles as it really is super pigmented so it’ll conceal most anything! L’Oreal Visible Blur is lovely but it is sheerer so it might not be the coverage you need for super dark circles! Hope this helps!

  • Katie

I think I’m the only person who doesn’t see the miracle of this concealer. I bought it a couple months ago based on a similar review, but it definitely creased and didn’t seem to blend out as well as my Lancome concealer. Maybe I’ll give it another try. Any tips? What kind of eye cream and/or primer do you use with it?

    • Isabella Muse

it works best on drier eyes in my experience katie, what’s your skin type like?

  • Heidi

I do like this. I have the two lightest shades and blend them together. I don’t really use it under my eyes, but it’s great on some uneven spots on my face or to smooth out a slight crease on my forehead.

  • Amber

Do you recommend this concealer for blemishes? If not, what drugstore concealer do you recommend for blemishes?

Thanks again for the great find Musey , I would have never tried this because I’ve been disappointed by drugstore products so often. This is a perfect example of how they are improving. I LOVE this. I have a very red , very dry, vampire pale complexion and this evens me out a little and gives me enough coverage . I never want a complete mask over my redness- so it’s enough for me. I like this a lot . Looking forward to trying the foundation in this line.

    • Isabella Muse

Yay! I’m glad to hear it Hez 🙂 It really is a good one, the foundation is also nice by the way! Glad you liked!
