Pixi Balmy Winter Shea Butter Lip Balm Trio Review & Swatches
Treat your lips to the Pixi Balmy Winter Shea Butter Lip Balm Trio ($16) for Holiday 2014 which contains not one, not two, but three delicious Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balms! It’s a perfect set for tucking into stockings!
I never reapply lipgloss or lipstick but I’m chronically applying lip balm so I always keep one or two (or a hundred) tucked into my purse, desk drawer, atop my vanity etc…!
Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm was introduced earlier this Spring in a range of different colors for $8 each! This new Pixi Balmy Winter Shea Butter Lip Balm Trio combines three full size shades into one cute gift at a savings of $8 so it’s like you’re buying two and getting one free.
The packaging on these remind of those old candy lipsticks. Remember those? I loved them as a child! Future beauty junkie back than!
The packaging of Pixi Shea Butter Balm remind me of those old candy lipsticks. I remember absolutely adoring them when I was a child. I guess even than I was a bit of a beauty junkie. Each balm features a color cap representing its shade as well as Pixi Beautys traditional light green accents.
The balms have a flat top which I love as it makes application easy without a mirror. I find the formula is a little heavier in texture and a bit more moisturizing than Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment but has around the same pigment, perhaps a little more. The heavier balmy texture is considerably more pigmented than Maybelline Baby Lips and has a offers a good deal more opaque color.
Pixi Balmy Winter Shea Butter Lip Balm Trio Swatches (Honey Nectar and Ripe Raspberry)
Pixi Comfort Clear Shea Butter Lip Balm
Pixi Red Raspberry Shea Butter Lip Balm
Pixi Honey Nectar Shea Butter Lip Balm
They have a formula and texture that isn’t exactly weightless but the thickness has a nice soothing soft feel on lips and are considerably more moisturizing than a mere Chapstick. They have a nice sweet vanilla flavor and fragrance but it’s really subtle so it should bother sensitive users. I find the color lasts quite long at around two to three hours and after it’s worn away my lips feel nice and soft.
The nice thing about the kit is it has not only tinted versions of the balm but also a transparent, clear shade if want to apply it prior to heading to bed at night!
If you tried and loved this formula I’m sure the Pixi Balmy Winter Shea Butter Lip Balm Trio will make for a nice way to get more of a formula you might already love. If you’re looking for fun stocking stuffers or smaller gifts this trio will fit the bill as well!
