Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick Review & Swatches

Physicians Formula Super BB Stick

Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick is one of several new Spring 2015 products being added to the permanent Physicians Formula Super BB Collection. I guess foundation sticks are a thing for Spring considering Revlon has a new Insta-Fix Foundation Stick I really enjoyed that recently launched at drugstores.

Let’s take a look at the Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick!

Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick

Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick is marketed as an All in 1 Beauty Balm Stick with 10 Beauty Benefits that include perfecting, concealing, smoothing, brightening, moisturizing, protecting, firming, priming and filing, line softening, and long wearing. It’s supposed to act as a concealer, foundation, and a touch up tool with SPF 30.

Yeah, it’s way over marketed.

It’s nice but wayyyyyyyy over marketed.

This comes in a chubby swivel up design that I’d like to the recent Top Shop Glow Stick. It’s adorable! Totally cute, totally portable, totally easy to swipe on, blend out, and go. I love the ease of use here and think it makes for a great touch up tool.

I don’t wear a ton of foundation as I don’t require it. I do rely on it to brighten up my duller skin though. This is perfect sheer coverage to brighten up my complexion and create a beautiful canvas for my makeup. It glides on easily enough but does have a matte, powdery dry down but no worries it doesn’t cling to drier areas. It blends out easily on my dry skin, eases dullness, and brightens up my complexion. It’s very sheer so personally I wouldn’t say it has any concealing benefits so if you need medium or full coverage to conceal acne, redness, etc I don’t think this will be a good pick up for you.

Those who prefer lighter coverage will likely enjoy this. It’s very no nonsense and great for days you’re going natural or lighter with your makeup. Unfortunately it is limited to either Light or Light Medium shade selections.

Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick will likely be disappointing for those who require or desire a pigmented foundation stick. Personally I like this. It’s a quick, easy to apply formula that offers lightweight, natural coverage that brightens and creates a flawless finish for makeup!

Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Stick is launching now for Spring 2015 at drugstores. I got mine at Harmons.

This looks delightful and right up my alley! The formula looks nice and creamy and brightening. I’ll have to go hunt this down… Out of curiosity of the two do you like this one or the new revlon insta fix you reviewed recently ? Thanks Muse.

I like both to be honest but I prefer these over the Revlon. both are matte but this seems a little moist than the Revlon. aside from that they actually have very similar textures Lacy and coverage!

swiped it directly onto my face and blended it out with fingers holly.

Ooooh this sounds really good! But yet again, Physicians Formula is a brand I don’t have (easy) access to from Switzerland. Story of my life :-S

The shade selection is one thing that drives me crazy when it comes to Physicians. Only a few of their BB & CC creams & powders come in a Medium/Deep shade. Also, I think they’re coming out with entirely too many products & it’s confusing consumers.

Thanks for the review. On my way home, I went to CVS and found these small treasures they have a 40% off on going and a $3.00 off coupon. You are right indeed the stick is easy to work with. This is my first foundation stick and I’m happy with the coverage and feel that it gives.

Do you have a recommendation for a stick concealer that’s good at concealing acne and blemishes?

I love this stick. I used it as my face makeup when I went to st thomas. It worked so well I continue to use it every time I go to the beach and the gym. Doesn’t feel heavy but provides good coverage with some of my sun marks n acne scars. Makes my pores look smaller too. I am 43 years old. Great spf coverage
