Bare Minerals the Posh Neutrals Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Bare Minerals the Posh Neutrals Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette is one of three Spring 2015 Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palettes launching this season! I can’t tell you how much I adore the Bare Minerals Power Neutrals Ready Eyeshadow Palette, honestly, Ready 8.0’s are truly some of my favorite palettes in my stash and believe me I have LOTS of eyeshadow palettes.
They just have such an incredible formula that’s rich in pigment and oh so beautifully textured.
Now Bare Minerals the Posh Neutrals Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette is a retake on the Bare Minerals the Affair to Remember 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette that released on QVC for Spring 2014.
See what’s new, see what’s old below!
Good news if you didn’t get the Affair to Remember Eyeshadow Palette you TOTALLY NEED the Bare Minerals the Posh Neutrals Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette. It’s stunning, it’s gorgeous, it’s perfect for taupe and purple lovers!
This palette contains the following shades:
- Curtsy (shimmer snowflake)
- Valet (toffee sheen)
- Debutante (blushing nude)
- Romance (glimmering plum)
- Waltz (soft pink taupe)
- Caviar & Cake (velvet chrome)
- Sizzle (bronze spice)
- Promise (creamy beige)

Originally the Affair to Remember Palette launched in the UK and we later got it in the US and it does contain almost all the same shades as the ones in the newly released Posh Neutrals Palette for Spring 2015. Out of the eight shades in this palette six are repromoted from the Affair to Remember. Instead of Swept Away and Revelry which appeared in the Affair to Remember Palette you get Sizzle and Promise.
I think the Affair to Remember Palette was dominated by purples but the revamped design seems to combine both purples and taupes which somehow made it more pleasing for me this time around. But it’s still a lot of repeated shades which will disappoint those who do have the original palette.
But if you don’t have it, lucky you! You’re in for a treat!
It’s a funny thing with Bare Minerals because when they originally launched the Ready Eyeshadow Collection I was both delighted and a little worried. I’ve always liked Bare Mineral’s loose formula even though it can prove messy to work with so I felt like they didn’t really need to mess with a good thing, why did they have to reinvent something that was already great? Needles to say they did an incredible job with their pressed shadows and they are truly some of the best on the market. These are so velvety, so smooth, and wonderfully pigmented. Even the mattes are soft, silky, and easy to apply. The formula blends flawlessly onto lids and doesn’t fade or crease with or without primer on my dry eyes. There’s just so much to rave here.
I don’t really love the 2 or 4.0 palettes as I really like the variety of the 8.0 Eyeshadow Palettes the most. Eight shades, one palette, so many endless looks you can create. I feel like the shades in the 8.0 always flow so well together and contrast beautifully! They include a guide for creating looks using the shades as well which is now located printed on the inside flap of the box (they used to include it on a separate paper inside the box). The palette also comes with a double side brush for application, don’t write it off, it’s actually a very good brush!
If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck the 8.0 Eyeshadow Palettes are a great pick.
Bare Minerals the Posh Neutrals Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette will unfortunately prove disappointing for those that already own the Affair to Remember Palette as many of these shades aren’t new. But that palette didn’t receive a huge launch outside of QVC so you might not own it! In that case the Posh Neutrals, is an exciting release and very worth a pick up.
