Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer Review & Swatches
I swear I didn’t know about Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer when I wrote this post several days ago. I had a dream Urban Decay would finally launch a new concealer and it’s true they did it! Available in eight shade selections the new Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is a Spring 2015 launch that will become part of UD’s permanent collection!
I mean seriously, Urban Decay Concealer does this not evoke cries of joy from concealer junkies far and wide? I know I was excited. And actually I did NOT see this coming! It’s unexpected but very, very welcome.
Let’s take a look!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28) is a new liquid concealer with the promise of a second skin finish that’s infused with peptides apparently as well as a sodium hyaluronate to help skin retain moisture.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is more of a facial concealer formula in my opinion. I don’t use concealer on my face but I do rely on it under my eyes. I have dry eyes that are prone to puffiness with finer lines and average dark circles that are easy to conceal. I did not like this formula for use under my eyes. It’s very creamy but not hydrating enough for use under my eyes. It seems like a formula that would be easy to blend but…I struggled slightly with it as it felt like I was tugging and dragging around my eyes to apply it. Once applied it did seem to sheer out considerably and it looked very natural but I wouldn’t call it a second skin finish. It didn’t cake nor did it crease through the six hour wear (I saw fading around the six hour mark).

On oily eyes I can see it being a win. The formula is creamy and lightly hydrating but also has a slight matte set which should apply, blend, and wear well on oily skin.
Just for testing purposes I tried it on my skin and it performs better in this area. It blends a lot easier on my face than it does under my eyes and it does have a truly seamless finish with fairly good medium coverage. Without setting it wore for about seven hours on my skin under my foundation without fading.
I did feel the colors ran super, super light! I’m curious to see how some of the medium colors run because I know the lighter ones were ghostly on my medium fair skin.
As a face concealer Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer will likely get great millage but under eyes I felt like it was missing a beat. I’m not really sure what it was that was missing here for me…I wish it was more hydrating, I wish it blended easier under my eyes, there’s a lot I wish it did better! But I can see it being a win for those that use concealer on their face that’s for sure.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer will be available this month at Sephora, Ulta, Macys, beauty.com, urbandecay.com.
