Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

I swear I didn’t know about Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer when I wrote this post several days ago. I had a dream Urban Decay would finally launch a new concealer and it’s true they did it! Available in eight shade selections the new Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is a Spring 2015 launch that will become part of UD’s permanent collection!

I mean seriously, Urban Decay Concealer does this not evoke cries of joy from concealer junkies far and wide? I know I was excited. And actually I did NOT see this coming! It’s unexpected but very, very welcome.

Let’s take a look!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28) is a new liquid concealer with the promise of a second skin finish that’s infused with peptides apparently as well as a sodium hyaluronate to help skin retain moisture.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is more of a facial concealer formula in my opinion. I don’t use concealer on my face but I do rely on it under my eyes. I have dry eyes that are prone to puffiness with finer lines and average dark circles that are easy to conceal. I did not like this formula for use under my eyes. It’s very creamy but not hydrating enough for use under my eyes. It seems like a formula that would be easy to blend but…I struggled slightly with it as it felt like I was tugging and dragging around my eyes to apply it. Once applied it did seem to sheer out considerably and it looked very natural but I wouldn’t call it a second skin finish. It didn’t cake nor did it crease through the six hour wear (I saw fading around the six hour mark).

On oily eyes I can see it being a win. The formula is creamy and lightly hydrating but also has a slight matte set which should apply, blend, and wear well on oily skin.

Just for testing purposes I tried it on my skin and it performs better in this area. It blends a lot easier on my face than it does under my eyes and it does have a truly seamless finish with fairly good medium coverage. Without setting it wore for about seven hours on my skin under my foundation without fading.

I did feel the colors ran super, super light! I’m curious to see how some of the medium colors run because I know the lighter ones were ghostly on my medium fair skin.

As a face concealer Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer will likely get great millage but under eyes I felt like it was missing a beat. I’m not really sure what it was that was missing here for me…I wish it was more hydrating, I wish it blended easier under my eyes, there’s a lot I wish it did better! But I can see it being a win for those that use concealer on their face that’s for sure.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer will be available this month at Sephora, Ulta, Macys, beauty.com, urbandecay.com.

Hi Muse! Long time no speak/chat/text/comment?!

I’m quite excited about this as well! I don’t really use concealer under my eyes (the one advantage of wearing glasses, I suppose xD) but I tend to wear concealer around my nose and on my chin instead of foundation these days! This sounds like a winner or at the very least, another option besides the NARS creamy radiant concealer *__*

    Thanks for the heads up!

hi libby 🙂 happy new year how are you? I think you’ll be happy with the way it performs on your face! ;-D my pleasure! Let me know if you try it!

  • Melissa

What do you use and like for concealer under your eyes? I have the same issue about dry skin under my eye area and something that blends out well while still has good coverage & is not dry

  • Melissa

Thank you for the quick reply. I will have to try this. I like the It cosmetics bye bye under eye but it tugs and doesn’t blend well.

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure. I love bye bye as well but Em’s is much more hydrating for me in the Winter 😀

This looks so amazing, but that pricetag! Especially compared to the NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer, this one seems high. And I have a feeling it comes down to packaging, and UD’s is just a bit too try-hard on packaging for my taste.

  • Kiss & Make-up

Oh they are so yellow! I like that. Concealers are often so pink on me…

ame, I always felt like the nars radiant creamy concealer sheered out crazily for me (see my review here: https://www.musingsofamuse.com/2013/02/nars-radiant-creamy-concealer-review-swatches.html) and had no coverage after blending. This is considerably more pigmented in my opinion. Although NARS gets the award for better formula as it’s much more hydrating and creamy. Now if someone could combine ud’s pigmentation with nar’s formula we’d have a winner 😀

        Good to know!

Do you have the ingredients by chance on this one? I’d love to see it.

Hmm I want to try this but my eyes are drier with fine lines so this could be a problem for me too.

  • Eriu

Hey,Muse! Love the review! I’ve been waiting for a UD concealer ever since I fell in love with their Naked Skin foundation. Sorry to hear it doesn’t work as well for us drier undereye girls. How would you say the shades compare to the foundation? I wear the foundation in the 2.0 shade and it’s perfect.

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not really sure I never swatched the entire foundation range so not sure how to concealer compares sorry Eriu!

  • Kristina

I need to get my hands on one of these 🙂 I love this brand.

  • Tilly

I really like this review, thank you for being so honest! 🙂
I’ve done a review on this concealer too if anyone is interested, please have a look 🙂

    • Elizabeth

How may I find your review. Not that I am purchasing since reading this one. I like the Muse thorough description and application findings. It helps to eliminate another bad purchase! HA

  • Elizabeth

Hi Muse! This is a great post and I am glad that I found your review before purchasing this product. I have drier, mature skin (albeit) in very good condition thanks to a life-long routine of consistent skin care and diet (for the most part!)
My search will most likely continue for the under-eye concealer/brightener to combat my dark circles. They have been a problem for me for years. At one time, Clinique’s original concealer did the best but find this is too drying now that my skin has changed with age. I am not one that likes to pack on layers of corrector/concealer/highlighter and frankly I just don’t have that kind of time. Having mentioned that, if anyone knows of a concealer/highlighter that will brighten and minimize dark under-eye circles, please let me know. The products I have used range from high-end department store, natural & organic to drugstore. This is a mission of mine; find the right product!!!
Thanks again for the much-needed information before I dove into the pool of concealers that didn’t fit my application!

    • Isabella Muse

Hi Elizabeth! Glad to review was helpful! 🙂 Have you tried L’Oreal visible lift blur? It’s quite good! Hydrating, creamy, fairly nice coverage, blends easily, and not too heavy on the wallet!

      • Elizabeth

Thanks so much for the quick reply, Muse! Funny that you mention this product because I had it in my little hands yesterday and returned it promptly to the shelf before leaving the store. I had my heart set on the Urban Decay product! LOL – So, back to the store I shall go. My skin tone is light/medium and I wonder if you can suggest a shade that would work? I always go a little lighter because I have found some shades oxidize and turn on my skin. I always enjoy reading your blog posts. VERY HELPFUL! 🙂

        • Isabella Muse

Elizabeth, you should try the UD! Who knows you might love it and if not Sephora has an EXCELLENT return policy 🙂 I’m medium fair and the medium shade worked best for me (the light was a little too pink for me). Hope this helps!? Aw thank YOU very flattered to hear 🙂 <3! Let me know how you do!

    Helloo
I have been struggling for years with my circles! My under eye skin seems to be similar to yours, dry with many fine lines but i have darker circles. Nothing seems to work, even the MAc prolong doesnt. Any recomendations?
    Thanks!
