The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask Launches

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask sounds like something that fell right out of Korean skincare launch. “Bouncy” sleeping masks or as they are called in Korea, sleeping packs, are common fare from a variety of Korean brands.

Here in the US, well, the sleeping mask craze hasn’t quite caught on. Sleeping masks can be used as the last step in your skincare regimen and worn ALL night without being washed off. In the morning, you simply wash your face and apparently reap the rewards. I have many, many Korean and Japanese sleeping masks and many are a little bit gimmicky although some are fabulous. Many promise brightening benefits as well as ones that whiten skin or treat skin to a host of hydrating benefits! And some offer “bouncy” skin! So imagine my surprise when The Body Shop decided to launch a sleeping mask promoting “bouncy” skin!

What’s bouncy skin? Good question! It’s just an overall plumper more youthful look. Your skin might be a bit dull maybe your cheeks are a bit saggy and this mask promotes a more youthful, bouncy complexion.

Weird I know but true.

The mask is designed to be left on and worn as you sleep. In the morning you’ll remove it with water and away you go. It’s enriched with Edelweiss stem cells which apparently renews and replenishes your skin. It also apparently has a bouncy-like texture like we’ve seem from Mizon Returning Starfish Cream or Skin Food Water Drop Facial Ice Vita Cream.

Needless to say Korean skincare and beauty has infiltrated and inspired many brands lately!

I’ve had this for a few weeks now and I quite like it! I don’t know if it’s affected my skin’s bouncy-ness, but it is pretty hydrating. My skin’s pretty oily, so I’m not sure how much use I’ll get out of it in the warmer months, but I think it’d be great for dry skin

I haven’t tried it but when I was in the body shop last week the sales rep was showing me her hands. On one hand she had been using the mask all week and on the other she hadn’t. The difference was insane. Her skin was so soft, bright and smooth looking. She was in her forties but I can’t imagine what this would do on someone’s face!

So this looks pretty neat but I wonder if it really works. If they have it at the store I might try it just because I am really intrigued. Thanks for the info.

This sounds interesting. You should try the new mask in a robin’s egg blue jar, its called Olay Regenerist Luminous overnight mask. Its awesome and so is the price $24. At Walgreens and Walmart.

I’ve been testing it for a few weeks now. The texture is weird, but it’s a lovely mask, that does exactly what it says. In the morning my skin is smooth, plump, and hydrated. And you just need the tiniest bit, so it will last you for ages. It works especially well over a high duty serum. I love to combine it with Sunday Riley Luna.

I haven’t tried The Body Shop’s version, but I did try one of the Korean ones on your recommendation (the “Angel Tears” one) and really liked it! I’d be interested in seeing how this one compares. 🙂

I tried a sample of this and it made my skin so sticky I was shocked and stumbled over and broke a full length mirror.

I think I will give this a try when I finish my Dr. van der Hoog sleeping mask. Untill now I haven’t found anything like it.
