L’Oreal Blake’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches
L’Oreal Blake’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick is a shade inspired by Gossip Girl and L’Oreal ambassador Blake Lively. Blake’s Red is one of several new matte red lipstick shades that L’Oreal has introducing with their Collection Exclusive Pure Reds Lipstick Collection for Spring 2015.
Let’s take a look!
L’Oreal Blake’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick is kinda the quintessential cool lipstick that L’Oreal dubs it an iconic shade of red. It is indeed a traditional cooler cherry red lipstick and a perfect pick for Blake’s blonde hair and slightly bronzed, sunny skin tone. Blake’s a total California girl and she’s for sure a Summer in regards to her hair and skin tone so this is a great red if you have Blake’s fairer hair and bronze-y skin.

Although I always say don’t limit yourself! As the shade works just as well on other skin types, hair, and eye colors since it is a very traditional red. It does remind me a lot of the L’Oreal Jennifer’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick I recently reviewed though so you might not need to indulge in both shades.
Like other shades from the Collection Exclusive this comes in special packaging with a rubberized black tube and elegant gold accents featuring Blake’s autograph on the tube of lipstick. I love the packaging! It feels and looks very high end however, it does collection grime and dirt easily as it is much like NARS packaging!
I also dislike the floral perfume-y play doh flavor and fragrance of L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks which I really believe ruined the experience of these lipsticks because otherwise the formula is amazing. Blake’s color does tend to migrate on me a bit so clear transparent lip liner helps. It wears for a good five to six hours without fading and it’s opaque on a single pass, providing creamy, satiny matte color that isn’t drying in the least although not hydrating either.
If you’re shopping gorgeous matte lipsticks at the moment you should consider Blake’s Red! It’s a beautiful classic, pigmented red with a wearable, comfortable matte finish.
