L’Oreal Julianne’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches
L’Oreal Julianne’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick is a new shade of matte red inspired by Julianne’s Moore. L’Oreal recently launched the Collection Exclusive Lipstick range which is a selection of matte red lipsticks based on a variety of pass and present ambassadors with different skin tones, hair, and eye colors which enables choosing the perfect shade of red a little easier.
The collection is also a spin on last year’s nude lipstick launch that was called Collection Privee. I’m thinking too far ahead but I hope next year we might see another collection perhaps with pinks? I always have a hard time getting the perfect shade of pink lipstick so I’d love to see what L’Oreal could come up with!
Let’s take a look at L’Oreal Julianne’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick!
L’Oreal Julianne’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick comes housed in a rubberized black barrel featuring gold accents and Julianne’s autograph in gold. I’ve mentioned it in several reviews already but this packaging is mighty mess as like NARS it tends to collect dirt and grime very easily!
Julianne’s Red is an odd red as it appears a bit pink but also seems to have a bit of orange to it. It’s a lighter red and considerably less intense than many of the shades in the collection when viewing it in the tube. Some of these shades really surprised, Julianne’s being one, as I typically like warmer reds and these look like something I wouldn’t like but once applied they actually work very well for me!
This has a creamy consistency with a smooth satiny matte finish. It isn’t drying nor does it flake or tighten through the four hour wear time. It isn’t hydrating nor is it drying on my lips and has a very smooth, even application with full color pay off on a single application.
L’Oreal Julianne’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick is yet another shade from this collection to rave. I’m just really impressed with these lipsticks. Sadly, the only downfall is the flavor and fragrance in this range but aside from this the formula, pigment, and shades are really awesome.
You can find L’Oreal Julianne’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick and the several other shades in the Collection Exclusive at drugstores now.
