Sugar Blend Full Coverage Cream Concealer

I recently picked up Sugar Blend Full Coverage Cream Concealer ($10) online at Kohl’s as a completely random purchase! I was having a little case of nostalgia when I purchased this as one of my first Sephora experiences many, many, many years ago was a Sugar Cosmetics one.

Yes, true story, Sephora used to carry the entire Sugar Cosmetics range. At the time it seemed like the height of awesomeness and I still remember how crazy excited I was about their Sweet Cheeks Baked Blushes! That seems like literally centuries ago!

None the less it’s nice to see that some variation of Sugar is still alive and kicking (and at as local as your neighborhood Kohl’s).

Sugar Blend Full Coverage Cream Concealer is available in four shade selections and comes housed in a little squeeze tube with an attached sponge applicator for application. This is actually a concealer for the oily lid girls out there as it is a drier texture!

For something dry it does blend quite easily with proper prepping and doesn’t settle into finer lines and yeah, it’s actually packaging pigment too! I wouldn’t write it off completely! I have finer lines and drier eyes so I do require something that’s a bit more moisturizing but this doesn’t suffer much in texture. It’s creamy yet not too thick and applies fairly easily with a quick swipe under eyes and a quick blend out with finger tips. It does blend fairly easily with good, hydrating eye cream in place but can drag a bit if you have crepey skin under your eyes. I think oily lids or those with oily skin with benefit the most from the formulas as it does set to a matte, powdery finish with a strong wear of around seven hours without creasing or becoming cakey. Coverage is fairly excellent as well and should conceal most problems such as redness or darker circles. It’s quite brightening as well which I liked as my eyes always look tired!

However, I did grab the medium shade and it does run very light so even though they offer this is four shade variations I think it might be a bit limited to who can use it!

For $10 bucks you can likely do better at the local drugstore (I’m looking at you L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer!) but for those with oily lids a purchase of Sugar Blend Full Coverage Cream Concealer might actually work out well! And hey if you have a store coupon or a few Kohl cash dollars that would make it an even better buy!

Sugar Blend Full Coverage Cream Concealer and the entire Sugar Cosmetics range is available now at Kohl’s or kohls.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Sugar was one of the first brands I go into at Sephora as well lol!
Up to that point I had only really used MAC, but the Sugar packaging drew me right in!
