L’Oreal Zoe’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches
Our journeys with the L’Oreal Collection Private Pure Reds ends today with a review of the L’Oreal Zoe’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick inspired by the very lovely Zoe Saldana. I hope you enjoyed all the red lipsticks I reviewed for you already because I know I had a great time experimenting with the shades!
Let’s have a look at Zoe’s Red!
Each of the matte lipsticks in the L’Oreal Collection Private Pure Reds Collection was inspired by L’Oreal spokesmodels and ambassadors with a different skin tone, hair, and eye color which enables you to select a perfect shade of red lipstick for your coloring. Honestly, I do believe that certain reds work on certain skin tones! The perfect red is something you really need to spend a good deal of time looking for. I’m not even sure if I’ve yet found my perfect red even though I have several I love.
But so far, I have to say every single shade in the Collection Private proved very, very wearable! I didn’t feel like I had to limit myself with any of the colors as they all just really worked for me. Hopefully, you feel the same way about the colors you may have purchased and do try not to limit yourself! Try a shade that you think might not look good on you as I have a feeling it may just surprise you!
Each of shades in the collection come housed in a black rubberized barrel featuring gold accents and the autograph of the spokesmodel’s first name on the front of the tube. It’s very elegant packaging but as I’ve mentioned numerous times it does collect grime easily much like NARS packaging. As with all L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks this sports a heavy floral perfume-y taste and flavor that’s kinda play doh-ish to my taste buds. I don’t mind heavily fragranced or flavored lipstick but I’d rather it be a pleasant taste like vanilla or mint.

L’Oreal Zoe’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick Swatches
L’Oreal Zoe’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick actually proves the most disappointing shade in this collection. She’s very, very dry! The color drags on application and it hard to get a smooth, even application. You might want to pick up a lip brush to use with this particular color as I find application a bit messy due to the drier, denser texture of the lipstick. It’s also a creeper and tends to feather along my upper lip line as well as migrates around a good deal. It does feel and look dry on my lips and isn’t nearly as creamy as other colors in this collection.
The color is a deep, rich berry wine. It’s quite vampy and should look incredible on warmer skin tones! It’s opaque on a single application but I find going over the color two or three times gives it more of an even, smoother appearance and the colors in turn ends up looking very intense. It wears for a solid five hours but does have issues with dryness, feathering, and migrating through that wear. It leaves a stain behind as it wears away.
Zoe’s Red is one of the few shades that wasn’t formulated as great as the others in this release and that’s such a shame but my pokemon, collect ’em all disease demanded I purchase it!
