Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Concealer is a new concealer slash highlighter slash touch up tool that launched with the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Spring 2016 Collection.

I’m quite a fan of the Argan Wear Collection and I’m happy that Physicians Formula extended the collection by a few, new permanent products this year. As a concealer I was excited to check out the new Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Concealer.

So here’s a little look!

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Concealer

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Concealer comes in a single shade of Light/Medium. Unfortunately, the shade range is pretty limited but you’ll find that most skin tones will be able to use this as a contouring tool if not a concealer.

It comes housed in a little squeeze tube that features a pointed tip sponge applicator. The applicator reminds me of a smaller version of the new Maybelline Dream Blender Sponge. I wouldn’t say it’s an ideal way to apply the product but it is a good way to swipe on and blend out a little bit. I tend to rely on my fingers more though if I’m using this under my eyes as I have more control blending in this area with fingers.

This is a great product but very limited. It’s apparently infused with Pure Argan Oin and I think that translates well to the formula. I wouldn’t say it is super moisturizing but it is quite hydrating and blends easily without creasing or appearing cake. It has a very soft, smooth finish that doesn’t adhere to my drier skin and feels lightly moisturizing under my eyes. The thinner consistency also blends quite well without feeling dry or too thick. I liked the formula a lot as it was easy to apply, easy to blend, and it looked very natural on my skin.

It is sadly limited though as this isn’t terribly pigmented so it won’t work as a full on concealer. It does however, work well at contouring work or to add brightness to certain areas around your face. On one hand I wish it was a smidge more pigmented but I also feel more pigmentation would give it a pasty, chalky appearance under my eyes and on my complexion. I personally use my regular concealer under my eyes and I follow up with a little of this in the hollows of my eyes, above my cheek bones, and blended slightly downward to contour the area round my eyes and give them a brighter appearance. It works like a charm in this aspect.

I also like applying a little down the sides of my nose and blending outwards as it brightens up my entire complexion. I don’t need a ton of foundation so this actually works as a nice, natural lightweight foundation product of sorts on days I want to go really minimal with my makeup. It eases dullness and adds freshness and brightness to my complexion!

One downfall for some might be the fact it has a warm, spicy fragrance. I’ve expressed my love of this fragrance when I originally reviewed the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Blushes that launched last year. I think the scent is delightful but sensitive users might not love it.

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Concealer isn’t quite a full on concealer but it is a delightful way to add freshness and brightness to your complexion! It’ll make a great little contouring tools as well.

Likey!

By the way, even in Australia we heard all about your terrible snow storm. It must have been very hard for everyone. Quite unimaginable here as we get excited when we have 5 snowflakes happening.
Anyway – what on earth is a BB skin concealer? Is it just a concealer that goes on under foundation? Having such a scented product is bad news for those with sensitive skin. A shame.

haha five snowflakes eh? 🙂 BB for them is just color correcting, everything is slapped with “bb” lately! Over marketing 🙂
