Rimmel Oh My Gloss!

Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lipgloss is a new selection of Rimmel Spring 2016 lipglosses that have an argan oil infused formula which promises up to 6 hours of color, shine, and moisture.

I’m seeing displays of Oh My Gloss! pop up at drugstores everywhere but quite a few reader’s related to me that their Target has these lipglosses on sale. Shrug! I’m not sure what is going on but my Target never had these and I just recently had the pleasure of picking up a few shades at Harmon’s and some other shades at Walgreens. From my understanding they will be a permanent part of the Rimmel Collection.

Let’s take a look!

Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lipgloss are quite a lovely beauty budget pick if you’re in the market for a shiny, fairly pigmented lipgloss with a comfortable to wear formula. These are available in 15 shades each of which is loaded up with Argan Oil and Vitamin E. I purchased them for I believe $4.49 at Harmons and $5.49 at Walgreens and are 0.21 oz in size.

These have a sponge applicator and apply with a smooth balmy consistency onto lips. I find the texture reminds me of a thin melted down lip balm. They give lips a soft, cushy, plush hug that wraps lips in nice moisture without being sticky, tacky, or heavy. I find the moisture aspect surprisingly good here as many lipglosses promise hydration but few deliver. Oh My Gloss! provides very nice moisture on the initial application and keeps lips very soft and smooth feeling through the three hour wear. Pigmentation varies from shade to shade but for the most part many of the shades I choose and many shades available are obviously pigmented. Lighter shades are considerably less pigmented but still provide a nice hint of shine, sparkle, and color. All the shades I purchased do have shimmer but nothing chunky or too glittery just enough to look pretty on lips but not overwhelming. I don’t believe any of the shades in this collection are without shimmer but don’t quote me.

Although they promise up to six hours of wear, color, shine, and moisture I got around three before they showed signs of wear. Through that wear time they remained quite shiny, very moist, and well after they wore away my lips felt pleasantly plush, soft, and smooth. They do have a light hand lotion-like flavor that wasn’t unpleasant to me but could prove irritating to sensitive users.

Rimmel Oh My Gloss! will be a nice companion gloss to the new Rimmel the Only 1 Lipstick should you wish to layer. It’s also quite a lovely gloss all its own with plenty of pigment, moisture, and gorgeous shine.

I liked these!

A great budget lipgloss with a variety of colors to choose from a solid formula that performs well aside from the shorter wear.

Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lipgloss are launching now at drugstores or get them at ASOS.com.

I purchased a shade a few months ago which was a creamy neutral pink (think Nars Turkish Delight) and it had a cream finish with no shimmer, and I believe there was also a clear gloss that lacked shimmer as well! But within the many shades they released those were the only ones that stuck out to me that were made without shimmer.

Anyway, I was very pleased with mine but it seemed like it never really got to that solid point most glosses get if that makes sense. You know how a lot of glosses will almost dry down and become like a thin protective layer over your lips? Mine never did. But it was still very flattering and very moisturizing which I loved. But I honestly ended up putting it in my ‘pit of no return’ due to the fact that it never really dried down, plus I wasn’t a fan of the packaging. I had hoped they would come in the same packaging as the Apocolips lip lacquers. The unique multi-faceted top on those are absolutely wonderful for a packaging junkie like myself!

Oh yes! I forgot about the clear one thanks Andrew. The display I found seemed like all the shades were about shimmer good to know there’s a shade in there that isn’t! I know what you mean, they don’t really wear down on the shine of moistness through the wear. I was cool with that though because they felt really moist through the wear 😀 Oh yes! Apocolips had the greatest packaging!

The glitter kills me. Why must there be glitter in 90% of drugstore lipglosses : (

The All Night Long looks super pretty on your complexion! I give it a 10 😉

Rimmel releases are so weird. When the show off laqures came out I found them at a Walgreen’s but didn’t see them again anywhere for months. These glosses have also been clearanced at my local targets. These are pretty but I can’t get over the smell of them. Also I have the shade “twinkle twinkle” and the metalic glitter in it seperates from the actual gloss and sits at the bottom of the tube

Aw sorry Stevee 🙁 I didn’t have a problem with the shimmer so far but if I store them for a while maybe I’ll have the issue booo!
