Palladio Butter Me Up! Sheer Color Balms

Palladio Butter Me Up! Sheer Color Balm ($7.99) is a new selection of tinted lip balms that promise a “luscious, buttery formula that moisturizes, protects, and smooths lips”. I’m all about quick, easy tinted lip balms since I tend to hate reapplying my lipstick as the day progresses. These sounded like a great way to get a quick bit of color and moisture on my lips.

Let’s take a look!

Palladio Butter Me Up! Sheer Color Balm

Palladio’s Butter Me Up! Sheer Color Balm are available in eight shade selections and come housed in a colorful packaging that reflects the color inside with a colored transparent lid. The packaging kinda reminds me of Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick. These balms weight in at 0.095 each.

Apparently the formula is botanical and vitamin infused but sadly the ingredients aren’t listed so I’m unsure exactly what’s inside the formula.

I actually didn’t like these. They simply worth the $8 price tag, you’d be better off taking that eight bucks and putting it towards some of the new Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick Spring 2016 shades. These are lightly hydrating with a light shine finish and a subtle vanilla flavor and fragrance. I find the product was a little too dense so they kinda dragged uncomfortably over lips and applied a bit patchy due to this. They provide a nice bit of color on lips but the draggy, dense texture didn’t prove a pleasant experience. Once in place I thought they looked rather nice! A hint of shine, nice color, and they made my lips look plush but the application was rather irritating to me! I think if your lips are dry and/or sensitive you’ll likely not love dragging such a hard balm across them. Meh!

If Palladio improves the formula and makes it a bit more buttery I can see myself loving these but as is, not so much sadly. Nice shine, nice color, but the draggy application has to go.

I’m a big fan of lip butters–too bad these aren’t very creamy! They look pretty, though 🙂 ps: I love your eyebrows!

I tried them as soon as I could get my hands on the new Palladio stuff and yeah, they could be softer and smoother. Plus personally I didn’t like the color selection.

I was ok with the colors but the formula was blah! Wish it was softer, more buttery 🙁

Muse, these sound suspiciously like the elf tinted lip ‘balms’; so packed with pigment that the moisturizers in the product simply aren’t enough to overcome the drying nature of the pigments. Almost everyone seemed to really love those elf balms, but not me (pretty but drying) and I remember you hating on those. Sounds like these aren’t as bad, but I will definitely skip them and stick to my Almay butter kiss balms. Thank you for the review ☺️

Indeed Nikole! I agree, I feel like the lone wolf! Now we are won’t be so lonely, we can hate on them together haha 🙂 Seriously those ELF ones are bad. These are a LITTLE better but not that much better. 🙂 My pleasure dear xoxoxo!

    Hi. Thanks for the review.
I actually like a LOT the Palladio Butter Me Up Sheer Color Balms.
My goal is to moisturize my lips without too much color. I keep one in my car and can easily apply on my lips when my lips get dry, and no mirror is needed. I use it as a tinted lip balm. The discontinued “Sugar Plum” shade was my favorite.

My pleasure 🙂 Aww sorry the discontinued a shade you like 🙁 that sucks!
