Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue Review & Swatches

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue ($19) is a new awesome moisturizing lip balm that launched with the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Summer 2016 Collection exclusively at Sephora.

Don’t get me wrong I love lipsticks and lipglosses as much as the next girl but lip products like Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue are REALLY my type of formula. These are so slick, so smooth, and provide such natural color!

Believe it or not Summer is around the corner and these Quench Lip Rescue Lip Balms are perfect for getting juicy, slick color on lips! Tarte dubs them a lip balm but they are so much more than that. Each one comes in a differently patterned cardboard casing (much like Amazonian Lip Butter) and weights in at 0.10 oz each. The patterns on the barrels are a nod to the “Rainforest of the Sea” Collection with images of starfish, coral reef, and other aquatic patterns that make up each barrel. It’s such a cute and beautifully presented lip product.

The formula is just as great as the packaging! These are a soft, melt-y lip balm that feel like a lip oil once applied with a high shine finish and a lovely hint of nice tint. I love how easily they glide across my dry lips and the beautiful color they provide. I also adore how shiny they make my lips. The wear time is a little shorter here at around two hours before the shine and color fades away but during that time they keep lips quite nicely hydrated and moist. They do have a peppermint fragrance and flavor that I found pleasant but some might find irritating.

All in all Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue are a soft, slick creamy formula that keeps lips pleasantly moist through the wear!
