Jordana Made to Last Liquid Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

Jordana Made to Last Liquid Eyeshadow

I’m currently in love with Jordana Made to Last Liquid Eyeshadow ($4.99) so, I’m going to do my very best to convince you to love them too! For Spring 2016, Jordana introduced a selection of six shades of creamy, metallic liquid eyeshadows in nude, natural shades.

I admit, I was worried. Metallic typically translates as frost to me! There has been that rare occasion I’ve fallen in love with a metallic finish lipstick, gloss, or eyeshadow but most of the time I like the idea of metallic a lot more than the actual look of it on me.

Made to Last Liquid Eyeshadow brings me way back to the Cargo Metallico Eye Kit! These are such wearable, shimmery, gorgeous metallics!

Shimmer and glitter haters need not apply here as Jordana Made to Last Liquid Eyeshadow bring intense sparkle! I was a little worried about that! I know, I know! Self-proclaimed shimmer and glitter lover like myself worried about shimmer? How unusual! But yeah, the sparkle did worry me a little bit as I’m getting older look a bit ridiculous with hardcore glittery eyeshadow. Thankfully this sparkle translates well on my lids and has a high metallic sheen finish that looks incredible.

This formula is quite thick and creamy but also thin enough to spread easily onto lids. I would say it isn’t a novice cream eyeshadow formula though as it isn’t easy to blend for those that are new to cream eyeshadows. However, if you consider yourself an expert at cream eyeshadow you shouldn’t have a problem. The consistency is quite wet and takes several seconds to set. I see it being potentially a hate formula due to the thickness, wetness, and slow dry down. Personally, I didn’t have issues with it myself. I thought they blended out well and easily enough with a sheer color pay off on the initial layer that built upon easily and looked intense on the second layer! I love how customizable these are. If you apply them sheer they have the finish of an eye gloss but they build easily and get deeper and richer with each application plus they aren’t prone to caking or creasing no matter how much you apply and have a slower dry down which means you have plenty of time to fiddle, play, and blend the formula out. I also adore the light-reflecting pearl in each as they give a beautiful sparkly metallic finish that catches the light brilliantly.

They wear is great as well at around 8 hours without primer. The color did not lose intensity nor did it crease or cake up on my drier eyes for that time.

By the way, Immortal Metal is kinda the taupe to end all taupes! It is stunning on brown eyes!

Jordana did a fabulous job with this formula. If you love cream eyeshadows you’re bound to adore these.

These look so pretty on you Muse. The colors are also pretty. I have to look into them.

These look amazing on you, Muse! Absolutely gorgeous 😉

I’m kind of intrigued because I’ve heard nothing but good things about this formula. I tend to shy away from anything too metallic but I did just sneakily purchase the two TF cream to powder duos and my wallet is weeping at me so maybe I’ll pick these up and give them a whirl too.

Thanks for the review, girl! Hope you’re having a lovely day 🙂 The weather in nyc has been amazing lately!!

Thanks Libby!!!!!!!!!! These aren’t too badly priced so your wallet will forgive you 😀 You’re so welcome! And YES! It has finally good weather 🙂 Weekend was lovely and today is shaping up perfect too!

I love how they have a subtle but definite sparkle to them, very wearable!

  • LauraTheRedhed

YES! I grabbed all six of them so fast and have been doing the easiest and quickest smoky eyes to die for!

    • Isabella Muse

right?! It’s like you spend 2 minutes and you get this incredibly eye look with minimal effort! love! I wish I got all six but my Walgreens had two only! And a few have been out of stock at Jordana so I haven’t ordered online boooo!

I think the only one I did not like was the pink one. Not A Wink Pink wasn’t really pigmented, but I am still playing with them. The rest are awesome and they almost blend themselves. I highly recommend.

I agree, I bought all six as well because I am a metallic/shimmer addict. I really like them. Great review. I’ve also seen these at Kmart if anyone has trouble finding them at Walgreens, etc. Immortal Metal is my favorite also. Not only for the color but for the name as I am a metalhead. So of course I had to have an eyeshadow called Immortal Metal! \m/

I grabbed all six and I love them!! I swear they get more sparkly as you wear them!!!! The bronze and gold ones are my two personal favorites, but they all are amazeballs.

If you have a Kmart near you, that’s where i found a end cap with all of them and in the isle their new Liquid Lipsticks(which are pretty nice too).

        • Isabella Muse

Got the liquid lipsticks! 🙂 Haven’t been to kmart yet have to see if I can haul them there thanks Jennifer!

  • Meetu

That was really nice.. The metallic stuff usually I don’t try but let me give it a shot now after this..

  • Katherine T.

I was going to pass on these but your eye looks are selling me! I need to check out Immortal Metal

  • Cel

Ahhhhhh that sheen is so beautiful! I’m definitely going to seek these out.

I got a couple of these when I first saw them but was disappointed that they didn’t have any lighter colors. There was that pinkish one and the rest of them were actually darker on me than I liked. I did like the look of them, tho. Maybe I’ll have to get them out and try again, since I am a sparkle addict.

  • Sandy Smith

Looks great on you Isabella! Not so great on my late 50’s eyes. Random flecks of sparkle and laugh lines not a good mix, haha. I tried the bronze and dark brown ones and experienced heavy sparkle fall-out all down my cheeks.

    • Isabella Muse

Girl, totally have fine lines here and it works 🙂 Try it, you never know 🙂

    • LisetteM

I had the same experience with the pink one, glitter all over my cheeks!

  • Amber

YES YES YES!! I wish they had more colors because I would buy them all. They last all day and are extremely blendable and pigmented. I live in a small town and the Walgreens took them off the display for some reason…little do they know how awesome these are!
