Freeman Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask

Freeman Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask is one of the only sleeping masks you’ll likely find in a US drugstore and also one of the few available in the US market. Sleeping masks and sleep packs are a common staple in Asian skincare but it isn’t a trend that caught on here in the US as of yet. And you know me, I love seeing how the Asian beauty market influences our own so, when someone recently suggested I check this sleeping mask out I was quick to agree!

Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask will set you back a mere $4 and is a great little mask for hydrating your skin over night!

Here’s how it works!

We all know water is a very important staple in our diets. It’s not only good for you but very good for your skin. But aside from drinking those 8 glasses of water that everyone is telling you about you should also inject some good hydrating skincare into your diet. I tend to overly hydrate my drier skin but honestly, I recommend moisture for everyone as part of your nightly routine. The more hydrated you keep your skin, the younger you’ll look.

Sleeping masks are a great way to get your skin in shape. One of my favorites is Philosophy Back to Nurture Deeply Replenishing Beauty Sleep Mask but if you’re on a budget this Freeman one is a nice pick!

The one thing everyone is concerned about whenever I review sleeping masks would be, “Am I going to make a mess of my pillow case and sheets?” What people don’t realize is sleeping masks typically absorb as quickly as a moisturizer. Yes, you apply them at night and yes, you rinse them off in the morning but they don’t remain on top of your skin! They absorb fully once applied! So, no mess!

Freeman’s formula is a super creamy and quick to absorb formula that contains jojoba oil as well as amino acids and coconut oil. It does, in fact, smell like delicious honeydew melon! It also contains Dimethicone to smooth skin! This is worth a mention if you’re sensitive to silicones in your skincare. I experienced no issues personally with the silicones and I didn’t feel it made the product feel unusual or weird on my skin. It actually feels like a heavier body lotion but for my face. In the morning, I just hop in the shower and rinse the mask away! It leaves my skin quite nicely hydrated in the AM and super smooth!

Do like!

If you need a little more moisture in your skincare diet, this Freeman Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask is a good way to get it.

Freeman Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask is available now at drugstores or grab it at drugstore.com and amazon.com.

have you tried the Laniege water sleeping mask? They sell it at Target. I would love to compare the two, as the Laniege one is around $25!

I really liked using the Laniege one in winter. I have combo skin so I don’t really need sleeping masks this time of year.

I have both and I greatly prefer the Freeman Sleeping Mask over Laneige. They both do a great job at hydrating the skin and I can barely tell a difference overall (I can’t compare long term results because I use many face masks and moisturizers… I haven’t been loyal to one product long enough to say one changes my skin more than the other). The Freeman mask has better packaging (a tubed product that does not come in contact with air or external contaminants like the jarred Laneige Sleeping Mask does), the scent of the Freeman mask is heavenly in comparison to Laneige’s floral/fresh fragrance, and Freeman’s value is unbeatable! Laneige’s sleeping masks is SLIGHTLY more hydrating but it doesn’t outshine Freeman by much in that department.

Muse, I’m sooo happy you took my recommendation and liked it. I thought I’d mention it and you’d might forget, but you actually tried it. I’m glad you liked it! I knew you would. Dry skin minds think alike!

Britni! I was going to mention your name in this post but I couldn’t find where you recommended this and I was worried I’d spell your name wrong, I was thinking it was Britne for some reason! 🙂 But thank you! I’m glad you commented so I can say thanks! I liked it a lot! It worked a treat on m dry skin 🙂 I appreciate the recommendation <3!

Have you tried the Bosica deep hydration sleeping mask? I’ve gone through 2 since I discovered it. It works wonders for my flakey dry skin

This has been in the US for a bit as travel sized packets. As for the full size bottle I’ve only seen it on their website so here’s hoping I can find it at ulta or walmart soon!

    Hi,
Long time reader! CVS has carried a Honey Dew and Chamomile Overnight Cream Facial Mask for some time now. It’s supposedly made in Korea and has slightly “better” ingredients than the Freeman’s. I bought it months ago and have worn it once. Made my skin unbelievably smooth and hydrated! I plan to whip it outta the fridge for winter.

I had a single packet of this honeydew mask a year or so ago, it was nice!

  • Dita

Yay! Thank you! I’ve been wanting to try sleeping masks! Yes, the korean brands have it available for usually about $10 but this one is only $4 and I can just go to the store and pick it up! Plus, you like it! I trust your recommendation as I have dry skin as well!

My pleasure! 😀 I love I can just go to the drugstore and get one sans having to wait for airmail! 😀

Accidentally got the Pearl sleeping mask (thought it was a rolled/pill style sheet mask at the big S. (Sephora). Yeah, dumbo. But, It’s TDF, seriously. I have to exclude a lot of ingredients, including aloe, and that was one of the few that didn’t have it. Cut way back on my night layers to BHA, C, and it. AM, didn’t even want to wash my face, it looked so good. Believe this whole S line is K. Lots of choices in eye mask, sleeping mask, or, you can get sheet faced (overused AB pun…). Go for ’em.

Freeman masks are the best. Would you reccommend the charcoal one for oily skin?
