It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream ($48) apparently smooths, brightens, and depuffs! I’m in heaven because my dry, tired, puffy eyes needs all that! It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream is one of several new It Cosmetics products that launched at Sephora.com recently and you know I had to dry it out ASAP and give you all a review on it.

Here’s my thoughts!

You already know I’m a concealer junkie but I also happen to be an eye cream one as well. I have a lot of different eye creams in my stash that I love and use daily but I’m still seeking that holy grail formula that will knock my socks off. I had hopes It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream was going to be it.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream is $48 for a 0.5 oz jar but a little goes a very long way so, this little guy should last you a while. Sadly, it doesn’t come in a tube! That would have made me and many of you quite happy I’m sure.

I’ve been using this nearly a month now but if anything changes further down the road and I experience any different results I’ll be sure to update this post. This formula promises to instantly brighten and reduce dark circles as well as treat puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles with a blend of Vitamin C, bue algae, copper, and peptides. But wait there’s more….! It also contains hydrolyzed collagen, essential oils, and caffeine (that last one is great for puffiness) as well as hyaluronic acid and cucumber to hydrate.

It’s a very thick eye cream but it absorbs easily enough so long as you spend enough time patting it into place. It has a cool, refreshing feel under my eyes and feels very hydrating and wears well under concealer. Apparently, the blue tint of the formula is what lightens dark circles but I honesty didn’t experience that at all. I’m a skeptic when it comes to eye creams that promise to reduce puffiness and lighten dark circles because in most cases they do neither. If you have puffiness due to allergies or late nights you might just see benefits from this particular formula but puffiness due to aging? Sadly, no this won’t help such a problem. I don’t have mega dark circles but I do have tired looking eyes without concealer and I wouldn’t say this formula brightened the area up or made me look any less tired.

What this did do was deliver plenty of moisture to my under eye area which in turn made my finer lines look smoother and more plush. For me, moisture is one of the biggest benefits to making my fine lines look smoother and less prominent and that’s exactly what this formula excelled at.

If you’re hoping It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream will eliminate your wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness (due to age) you might be disappointed at the results. But if you have fine lines and drier skin that needs a good moisturizing eye cream this one delivers.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream is available now at Sephora.com.

This was the review I was waiting for! I’ve been on the hunt for a moisturizing eye cream now that cold weather is around the corner and had wondered about this one. Glad it’s Muse approved!

I wonder why it has a blue tint to correct dark circles? Color theory shows that orange or peachy tinted products correct the bluish tint of dark circles, so it’s strange that they would use blue for this eye cream!

    • Isabella Muse

Quite a few brands have done blue in the past for dark circles (thierry mugler comes to mind first). I don’t think it necessarily corrects them but blue does brighten up the under eye area.

I have this and love it for the moisturizing and plumping effect. It is fast becoming an HG for me. Does not make my allergy prone eyes water at all… I can’t wear it under makeup though… I find it too moisturizing for that for me. But I love it at night.

I’m a little older. (ok, I’m a lot older. 61 lol) Thank you for the review. Always on the look out for that perfect eye cream. Right now I am using PhysioLife Eyes by Avene and loving the results. And you are right, I wouldn’t buy this It product just because it is not in a pump. Why can’t they listen? (sigh) I do like the It bye bye concealer in the tube though.

my pleasure Elizabeth! I am too! I keep trying a ton of different ones but haven’t found my HG yet! I haven’t tried the one you mentioned, will have to look out for it 😀 I know 🙁 a tube or a pump would be much much better! I love Bye Bye Concealer too! Great stuff, excellent coverage!

hmmm….I’ve been wanting to try this…maybe i’ll wait til it hits Sephora stores to get a sample. in the mean time i’ll stick to my current HG (been using it for 10+ years) – Clinique all about eyes. I have tried a million other eye creams and I keep coming back to this. it doesn’t do much for dark circles but its the best and most comfortable eye cream, and sits well under makeup….was really hoping this would be an HG for you muse!

Hi Muse! I love your blog. I am looking for a good eye cream or gel that won’t cause milia. I got milia when I used the philosophy eye cream. The MAC lady at Nordstrom recommended the MAC fast response eye cream. I bought a tube but I’m scared to even try it. What do you think of the Lancôme genifique eye youth activating eye concentrate?

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not sure Jyz, I haven’t tried Lancome eye youth! Sorry! :-/

I’m prone to milia and I haven’t gotten them from this IT product. The same is true of Ole Henricksen’s eye gel and eye cream. Most eye creams are simply too occlusive, which clogs pores and causes those ugly milia to form. All three of these work fine for me under makeup, but I do use a primer. And for aging skin, less is more in the concealer category. So I generally just use Touche Eclat, or my new fave Armani spot concealer. Neither clog pores or settle into lines. The only thing I’ve found that has any real long term effect on fine lines undereye is Perricone Acylglutathione. Used religiously, day and night, with a moisturizing cream over it, like the ones I mentioned above, you will see results. But I have yet to find a one product fix.
