Colourpop Just Peachy Lip Bundle Review & Swatches
Instigator, Screenshot, and Speed Dial are all peachy keen shades that make an appearance in the Colourpop Just Peachy Lip Bundle ($15). This trio of Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip and Ultra Satin Lip Liquid Lip Colors launched earlier this month and just at the right time might I add as we we’re all gearing up (and still are) for the launch of Too Faced’s Sweet Peach Spring 2017 Collection.
Take a look at my review and swatches below!
Colourpop released this Just Peachy Lip Bundle and also a Peachy Keen Foursome of their popular Super Shock Eyeshadows all inspired by, you guessed it, peach! Earlier this week I was discussing Spring 2017 Makeup and Beauty Trends and one of the things I’m hoping to see this season is peach and lots of it. I have a serious addiction to golden peach blush shades and yummy peach glosses and lipsticks. Too Faced might have started to trend but hopefully other brands start embracing it too. Thankfully Colourpop jumped up to base and gave us a budget friendly fix with these new peachy sets!
I actually expected these to be a little less warm than they are. Colourpop calls them mid-tone peaches but they are pretty darn warm to me but none the less really pretty especially if you like nude-ish peach shades.
You get:
- Instigator: Mid-tone peachy nude in a matte finish
- Screenshot: Mid tone nude peach in a satin finish
- Speed Dial: Rich peach in a matte finish
These are all full-size and 0.1128 oz in size each. Typically a single shade is $6 which means you’re saving $3 by purchasing the trio.
I find both the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip and Ultra Satin Lip both have a similar formula. It’s quite a runny liquid lip color with an opaque finish that’s quite pigmented on a single layer. The Ultra Satin Lip is probably my favorite since I like the fact I can easily wipe it off at will and reapply it should I like. You know me, I’m so not a long-wearing lipstick kind of girl! Ultra Satin Lip wears for a solid five hours with a smooth, even finish on my drier lips. I get a way longer wear from Ultra Matte Lip as it sets for a solid eight hours. It applies fairly smoothly on my drier lips and isn’t a moisture sucking formula although the Ultra Satin Lip does have a bit of a lighter formulation on my lips. The formula is thick and runny but it applies very easily. Neither formula has any flavor or fragrance that I detected.
I liked this set a lot but I the sames are very, very close in ton looking at Speed Dial and Screenshot together you’d have to stare really hard at the tubes to notice that one is a smidge lighter than the other. All three shades appear from similar in the tubes and on my lips with very subtle variations. I wish the shades were a bit more different!
But none the less, all in all, the Colourpop Just Peachy Lip Bundle is a great addition to any lip junkies wardrobe.
