Lancome Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer is a new full-coverage metallic lip lacquer that’s available in an array of shades for the Spring 2017 season. It’s funny as a few days ago many of us were discussing Bobbi Brown stepping down from her makeup line and the discussion started veering off to Estee Lauder and Lancome and how they are evolving and becoming much more youthful in their marketing and demographic audience. So, of course, as Lancome has done over the past few years, they have ventured into a very interesting realm with the introduction of a metallic lip lacquer! This is an edge-y release for Lancome and an interesting one. Ahem, there’s a metallic cobalt blue lip lacquer available in this collection. Believe me, when you’re promoting fresh faced beauties like Lily Collins and Emma Watson, blue metallic lip lacquer isn’t exactly within your norm. I LOVE that Lancome is venturing into something so new.

Lancome Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer are $22 each (wow cheap for Lancome!) and available in 12 gorgeous shades. These promise 3-D shine with an intense pigmentation and a formula infused with plexi-gloss polymers and metallic pearls that give the shades a multi-dimensional shine and metallic finish.

Shades include:

  • Crystalized Cobalt (metallic cobalt blue)
  • Brushed Gold (metallic pure gold)
  • Iron Nude (metallic bronze nude)
  • Molten Magenta (metallic wine)
  • Polished Rose (metallic pink gold)
  • Lavender Patina (metallic light lilac)
  • Orange Ore (metallic tangerine)
  • Magnetic Mauve (metallic dusty rose)
  • Rouge Magma (metallic ruby red)
  • Meteoric Violet (metallic wild orchid)
  • Purple Onyx (metallic blackberry)
  • Mirrored Nude (metallic pink champagne)

Lancome Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer are available now at sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m interested in the mauve one. I wonder if they will be sold anywhere besides Sephora.

I’m really interested in these! I hope they are great quality. I know that Lancome’s eyeshadow palettes have been lame, but I find their core products to be very good quality.

All thanks to Lisa Eldridge I’m sure! Love her and so happy she is their creative director!

I thought Bobbi leaving Bobbi Brown was a hoax – but then business is business – as for Lancôme, they are aiming for a younger set these days but unfortunately in Malaysia, their service is pretty substandard – and more than once I walked away feeling really pissed that their counter staff was unable to tell me more about their supposedly fantastic products or even offer a proper swatch of their makeup colours – a shame really that their marketing strategy did not match their service standards.

I wish it was! But sadly, it’s true. You aren’t alone. Lancome counters in NY aren’t exactly exceptional in their customer service here either in New York. I tend to avoid their counters because of this!

I want like 5 of these! I feel like I have way too many lip products already, like ones I ordered from Colour Pop and even a Tom Ford Soleil Lip Foil that I splurged on when I got my reward certificate and haven’t even used yet. Who am I kidding; I’m a mom and I work in an office; how often is it appropriate to rock a metallic lip? But lavender patina. . . molten magenta. . . all of them look so lovely. I wouldn’t go blue or orange, but all the others appeal to me greatly. I will resist until I worn everything that I already have in my collection at least once! I will say, among my recent acquisitions, the Lancome Lip Lover gloss is one of the more impressive, so I have high hopes for these new ones.
