The Milk Makeup Blur Stick ($36) is new oil-free primer in a universal neutral shade that promises to suit every skin tone is now available at Sephora.com. This little stick has been blowing up the Internet since late last month and every beauty editor in and around Internet-land has been hailing it’s brilliance. The invisible, matte finish promises to prep skin while curbing shine and filling pores for a smooth, soft complexion. You can use it under makeup or on bare skin without anything else to soften and smooth the appearance of your skin.

As we already know Milk Makeup does love their multi-stick makeup products as just look as other stick products they have like Holographic Stick, Hydrating Oil, and Cooling Water Stick.

The idea of a stick primer isn’t new by any means as a lot of brands have been introducing blurring priming sticks lately. I think part of the trend stems from Japanese and Asian brands who have had a variety of different prepping, priming, and skincare sticks available for many years now.

Milk’s is a bit more unique considering it’s a tinted version though. And not to worry for sensitive uses as this one is dimethicone and oil-free.

Milk Makeup Blur Stick is available now at Sephora.com.

What do you think of the stick primer idea?

Worth a try?

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Maybe I should try it before I complain, but I have a hard time thinking that a “one shade fits all” approach to anything makeup related is the way to go. I’m super pale so I’m pretty sure I’d look like I rolled in bronzer, or worse yet, was given makeup advice by Donald Trump. If you’re super dark it seems like this would be a bad choice too. Blech

Yes to this. I’m in the same pale boat and the shade in the picture is too dark for me. I’ve never found any of the universal tint items to work for me. As the Waitresses said, “One size does NOT fit all!”

No, this does not have color at all. Muse! You should probably correct the article.

Sephora’s website says it’s a neutral shade and the brand themselves have been promoting as having a sheer tint.

          • Arthouse

A sheer tint? Everywhere I’ve seen has been promoting it as an invisible, matte coverage or use as an “invisible foundation.” All the swatches show it as invisible on every skin tone!

Lol! I’m in the same boat so pale I blend! Blend to death the heck out of anything to avoid turning out clownish. Tons of contour/bronzers out there are so dark or reddish. Noooo! I like a few from Physians Formula very sheer or WetnWild lighest shade I can find. Not dreaming about caking anytime soon too much hassle.

I forgot who was it I was watching on InstaStory, maybe Temptalia or Trendmood, but they literally swatched the product on 3 separate woman, ranging in skin tone from extremely fair, to medium , to dark skin tone. It did not leave any color!
The color/tint isn’t was worries me, more so the claim that it can control shine & fill pores for. Still , I’m curious to try it.
