Bare Minerals Bare Naturals 14.0 Eyeshadow Palette for Summer 2017

Thanks again to Christina and Agona for this one! The Bare Minerals Bare Naturals 14.0 Eyeshadow Palette should have appeared in my original post but I mistook the 8.0 for the new 14.0. Yeah, senior makeup moments, I have those.

As with seasons past Bare Minerals is busy launching a slew of different palettes across a variety of stores. At the moment The Bare Sensuals, which appeared earlier this Spring, seems to be an Ulta exclusive and the new Bare Metals looks like a QVC one (although I suspect Sephora will get it too!), and the Bare Naturals appears to be a Nordstrom exclusive.

Too much data, can’t commute 🙂

I actually prefer the looks of the Bare Minerals The Bare Metals Ready Eyeshadow Palette personally as that’s more my jam as the Bare Minerals Bare Naturals 14.0 Eyeshadow Palette concentrates on more twilight inspired shades.

Let’s take a look!

Bare Minerals Bare Naturals 14.0 Eyeshadow Palette ($45) is actually a refreshing change from the normal round of either nude, natural or purple-y shades that Bare Minerals tends to pack into their Ready Eyeshadow Palettes. This one is inspired by the California coastline at dusk with shimmering ocean metallic blue hues to create a smokier look!

Shades:

  • Celebrate
  • Oyster
  • Quartz
  • Head Over Heels
  • Pale Silk
  • Unearthed
  • Mahogany
  • Crème
  • Mixologist
  • Bewilder
  • Hot Commodity
  • Couture
  • Twilight
  • Blackout

I’m looking forward to seeing if they’ll be a fourth palette exclusive to Sephora.

Which is your favorite 14.0 so far?

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The first 14.0 Nature of Nudes and 12.0 Wish List must’ve been popular enough that they decided to go with large palettes vice their usual 8.0 releases. It’s like those two had babies. 14 shadows like Nature of Nudes but hard-plastic cases like Wish List. I am so excited!

I ordered this one during the Platinum sale, and should have it Thursday. I checked it out in store, and it’s so much prettier than it photographs! So many purples. Just wish the 5x points on BareMinerals hadn’t just started today!

Sigh, Bare Minerals is no longer available here. They were pulled from Sephora shelves a couple of years ago, after mineral makeup kind of lost its hype to BB and CC creams. It’s a pity, since from all accounts, they have more to offer than just their mineral foundations but all Sephora stocked were their base products.

sad sigh! 🙁 They really evolved in recent years. their lipglosses and eyeshadow palettes are quite fab! Shame to see them disappearing in Singapore :-/

Bare Sensuals was too mauvey/purpley/pinky for me (I love those colors in life but they are just a little “off” on my face)…Bare Metals looks way too warm… but THIS one!! THIS is my jam!!!!

Got the sensuals; will have to gawk at this one. I (pretty much only) like pinks that go with the greige, taupe, dusky purple family. Also like the Ready formula. Too messy for the loosies. This one looks cool friendly, too. Now, where do I ago again? Just kidding, but the retailer exclusives can be confusing, f’sure.

This looks really good, lots of cool toned shades and muted colours – this should be, perhaps an autumn palette rather than a spring/summer one. I hope it stays true to its 8.0 counterparts.
