MAC Cheeky Bits Extra Dimension Blush Review & Swatches
I literally had to hold myself down and not purchase all the MAC Extra Dimension Blush shades that launched. I ended up with a single shade which was Cheeky Bits and it’s a rather stunning little number for Summer looks. Since I’m busy hauling out everything golden pink and peach I have this was an excellent addition to my already huge stash of those shades.
Let’s take a peek at my review and swatches.
MAC Extra Dimension Blush ($28) isn’t new by any means and has a knack for popping up once or twice a year during the Fall and Summer months. It’s apparently a formula that has a prismatic reflection according to MAC or aka as I like to call it, a luminous finish. It’s somewhat like Mineralize Skinfinish in the fact it has a gorgeous glow-y finish.
I have a soft spot for some of MAC’s more luminous powder products. I think they did such a fabulous job with Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder and I was expecting much of the same greatness from the new Extra Dimension Blush shades.
Without a doubt I’ll be going back for more shades because Cheeky Bits did not disappoint and although, I already own many of Extra Dimension Blush shads I could always use more!
I find the texture a little drier and dustier but the color blends really, really well and has a soft focused luminosity that isn’t overly sparkly or loaded with a ton of shimmer. I think it’s rather difficult to find a luminous blush that isn’t loaded with shimmer. This formula blends out very nicely for a beautiful glow that isn’t overloaded with shimmer.
Cheeky Bits is a pretty coral pink with a fine golden shimmer. It actually leans towards being more pink versus coral which makes the shade unique as it isn’t your normal run of the mill golden coral like say, NARS Orgasm. Pigmentation is excellent here and a little goes a long way with color that wears well without fading during a full day’s worth of wear.
As we head into Summer, we’re likely all looking for that perfect glow-y blush and MAC Extra Dimension Blush will get you just that.
I’m going to slap a Muse Approval on this one.
