MAC Will Be at Ulta May 7th

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

As you know MAC is going to be launching at Ulta this Spring. Ulta.com has a slew of products already listed with a date set for May 7th. No word on when it’ll hit stores but I imagine around the same time.

I noticed they had a listing for the newest Extra Dimension Blush shades as well. I wonder if they’ll be getting seasonal and limited edition collections as they release or if they’ll stick to carrying MAC’s core collection only?!

Either way, it’s very exciting to see MAC hit a more mainstream location. This means you can use your Ulta Rewards points not to mention the 20% off discounts, etc…!

Yay!

I’m very impressed with Ulta lately. They have been working hard to introduce a lot of new, prestigious brands to their regular line up like MAC and NARS.

What do you think about MAC at Ulta?

Do share!

P.S. Has anyone tried Starbucks Unicorn Frap yet? My friend got one a few days ago but I wasn’t even remotely tempted to take a sip. I’m really not big on too sweet drinks (my friend Jay says it all on Instagram). Apparently, it’s a nightmare for baristas to make. I was reading an article on Reuters about that quoted barista’s about what a nightmare it was to make. I mean it’s Starbucks, I picture everything being a pain in the a$$ to make. Imagine cocktailing coffee drinks all day? That has to be the most stressful job in the universe because people take coffee so damn serious if you get it wrong they are likely screaming at you about it.

I starting to hate the unicorn trend more than the highlighting and contouring one haha…!

I’m glad MAC is at Ulta. It’s not that I’m a big fan of MAC — I’m not — and I buy only the 15 pan eye shadow palettes since those are the only ones that work for me as far as shadow quality.
But ordering from MAC is a nightmare. Case in point: I ordered the 15 pan “In The Flesh” palette the day is was released, and MAC screwed up the shipping address by not putting the building number, only the street name. Also, logging into my account became so problematic and still hasn’t been sorted out. The Customer Service folks were very nice and helpful, but they also told me it (the address mishap) happens all the time! So I’m not to keen on ordering from MAC again.

oh no! Seriously? Thankfully never had a prob with MAC CS to be honest! They have always shipped fairly fast without problem! But I don’t doubt you’ve had issues :-/ doesn’t surprise me :-/

I am soooo excited mac is coming to ulta. i don’t mind the LE things not coming, if the permanent line is there I will be happy for the purposes of using ULTA to restock on faves and getting those ULTA rewards for it!

I have been trying to make all my purchases at ULTA vs sephora. I’m still enjoying their 100pt perks when they are available but I am sick and tired of their imaginary reward bazaar on Tues/Thurs which are NEVER available.

May 7. That’s the day before my birthday, so thanks MAC and Ulta. Just take all my money now.

I didn’t try the unicorn frapp — I think it was only supposed to be available for a few days — but it didn’t sound appealing. I’d say get a couple scoops of Superman ice cream and call that a unicorn treat, or layer a bunch of Slurpee flavors at 7-Eleven for the same (and cheaper) effect.

Hells yes on unicorn and contouring trends. It’s getting to be too much. When it’s 90-something degrees in two months, like hell I’m going to want to contour or wear something elaborate on my face. Give me a cool lippie or funky eyeliner instead.

LOL layer some slurpees, what a great idea 😀 Not sure the unicorn thing impresses me at all ;D

The ED Mac blushes look terrific. I will have to invoke my 2 dupe rule, f’sure! Wrapped Candy, yes, please. And with your recent post that would up being a primer (this one is pronounced primmer) on how to do your Ulta points, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ALL! , I can be savvy about how to do it. Seriously, your readers KTS. I think as Ulta ups their game (kudos already) the biggie brands will offer more comprehensive selections. Ulta’s current strategy is working with me. They brought Cosrx on board after 2 requests (with justifications) from me (and others,no doubt.). Their rewards program kicks the skatah (sp?) out of Sephora, and I’m dying to kick big S to the curb. Kerb? Spelling way off this am. On the ‘pad, Ulta is a frequent visit tile ahead of S. For the first time. Plus, they have drugstore. And hair. And all hair related, in vast quantities. They made me buy hair stuff that I never knew it needed! But they have delivered (Matrix, Purology.). Nyx, Catrice,et al are big fine with me. Cinco is coming, so Viva Ulta! (Don’t think I have that leading upside down question mark.). U’s recent moves, which show insight rather than aggression, are meeting LMVH head on with a more American strategy. Americans like deals. It’s virtually in our DNA. We even buy borderline product, if it’s a deal. Goes back to US at least in the 1930s. In case you didn’t infer it yet, I have rather a Schadenfreude relationship with Sephora. Idc if they flounder. Somehow, as exciting and unique as they were, when they started in the US, having typical dept store brands instead of Paul and Joe, etc. that they had when they started, makes me thing they are only driven by sales. EL cos instead of Paul and Joe? Yeah, d’uh?

I think MAC at Ulta is great news. I’m not a huge MAC-o-phile, but do have some of their products that I like, and would be more likely to get more if I could get them from Ulta. But, I’m not getting too too excited until I see exactly what they will be carrying. MAC’s collection is just massive, can’t imagine they’ll offer everything. Still, great news. Thank you Ulta, thank you MAC!

MAC at Ulta – YAAAAAAAA! I hate having to hit the mail to get there. And Starbucks, if you don’t like it there go home and make it yourself. Wow I’m a tad black and white today! LOL 😀

I think I read where MAC will only be at select Ulta locations, at least for a while? My dinky lil ulta doesn’t even carry japonesque makeup so I know it won’t have MAC. Ulta’s carrying lots of new lines, but I hate the couponing and % coupons – they’re almost all reserved for platinum, and when they aren’t, I never get one emailed to me. The $3.50 off coupons for $15 don’t tempt me very often, b/c I can almost always find the drugstore lines that those are good for cheaper at either walgreens, CVS or walmart. So, frankly, Ulta doesn’t have a lot to offer in terms of coupons that causes me to shop there. At least sephora has a lower tier reward program that gets you a minimal discount .

Someone needs to combine the ulta and sephora programs and come up with a completely faboo rewards program – if those two were mixed, that would be awesome!

    • Isabella Muse

At least there’s online for purchases! Sorry to hear you never get a 20% off! That sucks 🙁 Haha I agree! Sephora/Ulta combo would be awesome 😀

I have been very impressed with Ulta lately as well. It seems they are trying very hard to step up their number of offerings. I don’t know if you have seen, but they are also now carrying CoverFx! I’m thrilled about them carrying MAC. I’m excited to see what is coming next. BUUUUT…I do hope this doesn’t mean eventually their 20% coupons for platinum members won’t come as often or have more stipulations.

    • Isabella Muse

I did indeed! Not to mention a slew of other brands 😀 I doubt it, they are trying to gain a wider audience I really don’t think they’d do something like that to jeopardize the one they already have 😀

  • Diana

Did you know CoverFx is also coming to Ulta? First CosRx, then MAC & now Cover FX…if they get a couple more brands I’ll never need to shop at Sephora again!! I just love getting multiple 20% off coupons a year (although, wasn’t that our first prestige coupon for 2017?) Add in the 21 days of beauty & special hair & skincare events & it shames Sephora! The BEST for a bargain shopper like me!

I think it’s great MAC is available at ULTA for those that don’t live near one. I live near 4 or 5, so I think I’m covered. Haha! I personally don’t like shopping at ULTA, even if they have drugstore brands. I’m sorry, but my Target sells the same drugstore stuff for waaaaay cheaper than my ULTA does, even with those coupons and sales. I tend to shop for all my high end stuff at Nordstrom and Sephora, and I’m not really into mid-tier brands like Too Faced and Tarte (not hating on the brands–just not my preference for style and performance). I think it’s more the shopping atmosphere that I don’t like at Ulta. I like makeup shopping to feel a bit like a luxury and stepping into an entirely different world, and my ULTAs feel a little sterile and messy in my area. Sephora may be a jungle, but it’s always a little exciting walking into one.

I never tried the Unicorn drink. I don’t like sweet drinks, and that just looks like a sugar bomb to me. I feel for the baristas. It doesn’t look like a complicated drink, but I imagine there are so many aspects and little details that need to be executed properly.

    • Isabella Muse

ITA! I typically don’t buy any drugstore at Ulta unless there are coupons or a BOGO because their stuff is grossly overpriced! I don’t either, they just make me thirsty. It seems like an odd drink, something more generated towards kids than adults! 😀

I’m excited MAC is coming to Ulta, I will probably start saving my Ulta points toward MAC, too. I wonder if stores will start to carry their single pan eyeshadows. I feel like it might be a good move since I feel like they lowered their price due to competition. I probably will be inclined to buy MAC if we get more sale/discounts. Can you imagine the frenzy if they included Fix + or lipsticks in their 21 Days of Beauty sale? I’m sure everyone would go crazy!! lol

Also, got a Unicorn Frappe over the weekend, they were sold out practically everywhere. I ended up getting a Venti (bc super pretty) and even after finishing the whole thing I really didn’t know if I liked it. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t care for the sour swirls. Today I shared the Pink Drink with my momma, and we both agreed it tasted like watered down strawberry milk…really cute, but not worth the hype.

    • Isabella Muse

I am too! def nice that it’ll be available at Ulta plus discounts/rewards etc 😀 Ha! I’m positive people will go nuts if they have something awesome during 21 days of beauty. I didn’t taste it, I felt positive it would be too sweet for me 😀 Even Pink Drink is even a little too sweet for me, it’s actually a hard one to get anyone to make for you, most of the baristas are a little clueless about secret menu items 😀

I totally cannot wait to shop for MAC at Ulta!!!! Can you imagine the fun during birthday month? Or if they offer a point multiplier on MAC?? I have 4-5 Ultas within 30-40 minutes of me-hopefully it ends up in one of the actual stores eventually.
