Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

I’ve been playing with the Becca Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette ($46) for a few days and a review and swatches seemed like the order of business today because I don’t think I can wait a second longer to tell you about this one. You can get your hands on the Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette tomorrow at Sephora.com but as of now it is showing as out of stock.

As you know Becca and Chrissy Teigen collaborated on a brand new face palette that launched last week on the Sephora App. I was seriously standing by my phone at 3AM in the hopes of snagging it but sadly, I stayed up for no reason as Sephora decided to go live with it a lot later that day. As you know I’m not one to get excited about highlighters but I have the Becca x Becca X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face Palette and absolutely adore it so, it was kind of a no brainer picking up Chrissy’s palette as I knew I’d love it as well.

This is a limited-edition palette and I have thought about it and do regret not purchasing a backup of Jaclyn’s palette so when it goes live tomorrow I think I’ll be purchasing a back up of Chrissy’s because it truly is a gorgeous selection of shades.

Let’s take a look!

Chrissy’s a beautiful woman and she has gorgeous sunkissed skin and I think her palette was created with that in mind. If you tan easily or you have medium to tan skin these colors will pop on your skin tone. Her palette is all about getting that perfect Summer glow.

The palette comes housed in a gorgeous rose gold metallic box. The palette is also rose gold metallic with a peach marble face plate that has Becca and Chrissy’s name splashed across the top. It’s a heavy and well made palette with a generously sized mirror inside. It’s a lighter compared and a little thinner compared to Jaclyn’s palette but still beautifully made and very much a vanity worthy piece of makeup. If I had to change one thing about the palette it would be the fact they included a clear plastic film that had Becca and Chrissy’s signature on it. I wish they had actually out this on the mirror but it makes sense they didn’t as they probably didn’t want to obstruct your view of the huge mirror. Truly you can see your entire face in this thing!

Inside you’ll find a one of the new Sun Lit Bronzer’s in the shade Malbu Soleil (0.085 oz). This shade is exclusive to Chrissy’s palette and not available in the permanent Becca Sun Lit Bronzer range. It’s a light tan shade with very, very subtle and barely there gold shimmer. This has a smooth, satiny texture that adds a touch of warmth to your complexion. It’s actually a fairly good shade for contouring work on a medium fair skin tone that tans easily like my own. You’ll also find a brand new shade of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush in the color Hibiscus Bloom (0.085 oz). I love the Luminous Blush formula! I’ve reviewed in the past and Muse Approved it because the consistency is so beautiful and the finish adds such a lovely glow to my complexion. I was happy to see a brand new shade in this palette. On Sephora’s site they describe it as a golden pink coral but it’s quite a brighter apricot pink with a subtle golden sheen. Needless, to say the color is gorgeous. I know many of you are probably wondering how it compares to the Rose Spritz shade in Jaclyn’s Palette! I’ll be comparing shades in an upcoming post so you can see the subtle difference between the two shades. I actually wish they had made this shade bigger because I’ll likely hit pan on it face. Next up we have two different Shimmer Skin Perfectors one of which is Rose Gold and the other Beach Nectar (0.18 oz). As you can see the highlighters are the largest pans in the palette and what good reason. Shimmering Skin Perfector has a strong cult following so, makeup lovers are purchasing this because of those highlighters, particularly the shade Beach Nectar which is a brand new shade, exclusive to this palette. Beach Nectar truly is gorgeous and it’s a shade that you can imagine Chrissy using in her daily looks. This is a light peachy apricot with a fine gold sheen! It pairs up perfectly with the blush in this palette and it’s the combination I’m wearing in my photo below. You also get the shade Rose Gold which is a permanent shade. This is a champagne golden beige that looks quite lovely paired up with the Sun Lit Bronzer shade in this palette.

Needless to say all the powders have a soft, silky consistency that blend out smoothly and evenly. I didn’t have issues with the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter adhering to drier areas on my cheeks, they applied very smoothly and looked flawless. I was impressed with how well all the colors worked together. I think sometimes I can get lost in palettes that have a mismatch of shades but Chrissy’s Palette has a selection of shades that work well together. With Summer on the way, this is really a perfect pick up to get a beautiful luminous glow on your face and cheeks!

Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette is an outstanding palette that well worth picking up. I have to admit I’m a little exhausted with makeup releases lately and I don’t get as excited about them as I once did but the Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette is definitely one to get excited about. This is beautifully presented with a gorgeous formula that you’ll be happy to add to your collection. Don’t miss it.

Muse Approved.

Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette is available tomorrow at Sephora.com and at ulta.com.

Thanks for the review! Would this palette work on very pale skin? The blush looks so bright.

If you aren’t prone to redness I think it would look quite nice! A fiber brush can sheer the color out easily 🙂

I wanted to buy it for my daughter’s bday but she has red cheeks, so this probably won’t work for her. Thank you! You saved me $$$!!!

I am very fair with pink undertones and this palyworks well on me. I used a very wispy brush from Tarte to apply everything today and it looks so beautiful and glowy. The bronzer gives a nice glow. I have the rose gold and love it already the new Beach Nectar is a bit lighter and slightly peach without being overpowering. The combination is just so glowy and beautiful.

For deep, highly pigmented colors on pale skin, use a synthetic brush (synthetic brushes have smooth hairs, and don’t pick up as much product as natural hair brushes). Also, try dipping the brush first in a translucent finishing powder, tap off the excess, then dip into the blush. The finishing powder will “dilute” the blush a bit..

I bought it from Becca’s site with 20% coupon code plus free shipping, arrives Friday! Can’t wait!!!

  • evo

mine should be here any day. now i’m thinking of purchasing another one for an early birthday present to my cousin

    • Isabella Muse

yay! enjoy it! 😀 I’m sure if you do she’ll love it!

  • Brandee

Do you know if Ulta will get it; I’d rather wait and purchase for Ulta points if possible

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not sure, I thought it was exclusive to Sephora but I could be wrong!

    • amy

I saw somewhere it will be available at retailers other than Sephora. I’d recommend calling ULTA directly and asking if/when they expect to get them in.

  • Victoria

i accidentally bought 2 (pressed submit twice on the becca website) but now im kind of happy that i did! i adore the jaclyn hill palette that came out last year, and im about to hit pan on pamplemousse.
its getting here friday im so excited!
anyone who has both- is the blush shade in chrissy’s too similar to the shade in jaclyn’s?

    • Isabella Muse

I got another one myself as I really liked it ;D it’s worth keeping imho! 😀 it’s a great palette! Glad you got it. It is quite similiar to jaclyn’s although a little more brighter and pinker!

  • Isa

Yeah it’s kinda strange that the blush and bronzer are in smaller pans considering that there is only one of each product and the two highlighters are in larger pans. Then again, the social media guru inspired style of makeup does seem to warrant using that much highlighter!

I’m still on the fence with this palette. I just don’t do bronzer ever! But I do think it’s great for people who are after than sun-kissed look; I’m just not one of them. Glad you’re enjoying your palette Muse, it looks great on you!

    • Isabella Muse

LOL I know right? But not me! Probably would have gotten more use out of more blush vs highlighter 😀 I don’t really use bronzer either but it actually does add a touch of warmth without being too crazy or overdone 😀 Aw thanks dear! I’m loving this one! xoxo!

  • Kimmwc03

I was planning to get it but the bronzer swatches looked too dark for me.

  • Silvia

Gorgeous colors! Just think the dark brown would be too harsh on me maybe use lightly as contour?
Also waiting for the new Unicorn box from WetnWild to be released May 20. Yikes! I don’t need a thing but can’t help it! Except the first rainbow highliter which I already have will be purchasing the rest. Can’t wait!

  • huz

You think the bronzer can be used for contouring? It’d be such a perfect convenient travel companion if it can… blusher, highlighter and contour all in one. Imagine the amount of space I could save in my make up bag!

    • Isabella Muse

It depends. First off, it’s small, if you’re going to contour with it, it’ll likely run out fast. Secondly, it’s a firmer texture so, you might desire something a little silkier with more give to contour with. You can def do a bit of sculpting work with it but I think it is better to add warmth to your complexion versus using as an everyday contouring powder!

  • Kelly

Earlier in this thread I had written that I wouldn’t buy it due to my daughter’s fair complexion. I gave in and I’m so glad I did! The colors really perk up her skin tone and it looks great on her!

  • Ruth

Don’t put anything on top of the pallet! I did and had to pry the tart pallet off with a butter knife because it adhered together.

      • Ruth

YES!! i put one of the round tarte pallets on top and they were stuck together like glue. the only way to separate them was to pry them apart. you could lift the becca lid and use the products and the top pallet stayed on, no problems at all!

        • Isabella Muse

How odd!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the heads up as sometimes I leave makeup out on my bathroom vanity in the AM and head to work and typically I just kind of stack them together and leave to put away when I get home!

  • let

    Thank you for your reviews!
but i lil bit confused of choosing this Becca Chrissy Teigen with Too faced peach highlighter palette.. Which one do you prefer?
my skin tone is medium to light but not pale..
I’ll be happy to hear a good answer from you!
    thank you!

    • Isabella Muse

I’d go with Chrissy’s palette! The Too Faced Peach Palette is considerably sheer. If you have warmer undertones it’ll look much nicer and it’ll be more pigmented for you! Hope this helps!
