Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace Review
Some guy leaned into to me today at Dean and DeLuca and said, “You smell good! You smell real good!” I’m wearing Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Grace Perfume and I’m guessing his nose works a lot better than mine does because I swear I can’t smell anything at all. But thanks, I love when someone tells me I smell pretty! I feel all special and stuff now.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace launched on HSN recently and of course, I snatched it up even thought I told myself to wait for a 20% Off coupon that they send out often. Ironically within one day of ordering it, they sent me a coupon.
Head desk.
Repeat.
Here’s my review on this one!
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace comes as a surprise release as Juicy just recently introduced Viva La Juicy Sucre not to mention Majestic Woods & Royal Rose a few short months ago. I just didn’t expect to hear from them until late Fall 2017 but here there introducing Glace.
Glace arrives at an excellent time since this is the lightest version of Viva La Juicy released in a while. It’s available for a limited time so if you love it grab it up before it disappears. As with all Juicy fragrances part of the appeal is the gorgeous packaging. Juicy packages it up in a glittery pink and silver box that gives off Britney Spears Fragrance vibes to me. Juicy goes with the traditional square bottle packaging here in a frosted white iridescent shade with a pink iridescent overlay. The tall crystal stopper is wrapped up in a fluffy feather ribbon and a gold and pink Juicy face plate is prominently placed on the front of the bottle. It’s very foo foo girly packaging that could be considered juvenile but I’m such a girly girl I didn’t mind so much.
The fragrance itself is a lighter version of a combination of the Viva La Juicy and Sucre scent. If you find Juicy fragrances too nauseatingly sweet or to overpowering you might like Glace a little more because it’s much, much lighter and sheerer. The floral notes are dominate here with jasmine playing an important role at first mist with a swirl of candy-ish pear and mandarin. The scent dries down quite quickly and vanilla and sandalwood come into play which add an element of warmth and sultriness to the more playful fruit notes.
It’s not a complex fragrance and it’s not terribly unique. It’s a light, Summer-worthy fragrance that might capture your eye and attention if you’re looking to go lighter with your fragrance in the warmer weather. The throw doesn’t seem to be there for me and the scent seems to fade fast but I misted myself early this AM, headed out, and obviously it was still hanging around after three hours as I was complimented. So, maybe my nose is broke?!
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace probably isn’t a must buy by any means. If anything at all you might want to get Sucre before indulging in Glace as that was stronger, sweeter, and much nicer in comparison. However, Glace is an easy pick for those that desire something lighter. It’s a nice companion piece to other sweeter or vanilla based scents in your fragrance collection.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace is available now at ulta.com, hsn.com, and macys.com.
