The Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipgloss Collection ($34) is a new five piece lipgloss collection inspired by the movie that’s available for a limited time. I’ve always been a rather fond fan of Lorac’s Lipgloss Sets and I look forward to the Holiday months when they release these sets. The Beauty and the Beast Lipgloss Collection arrives just in time for the Summer season with a nice selection of shades that focuses heavily on nudes.

This is a little bit of a late release considering the movie was out a few months ago but considering the DVD just recently launch I suppose that’s what Lorac decided to do cross promotion with.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches of the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipgloss Collection below.

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipgloss Collection arrives in a gorgeous rose gold box but the real focal point is the actual lipglosses themselves which come packaged in gorgeous clear barrels with a lovely rose vine gold print. Each gloss had a gold topper with Lorac and Beauty and the Beast printed in gold. It’s quite a pretty presentation and couldn’t help but feel how much more feminine and pretty the collection is compared to the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection which was a bit more masculine and dark. I think fans, collector’s, and makeup lovers of Belle and the Beauty and the Beast film will love these. Each gloss is 0.9 oz in size and has a sponge applicator for application and they do have a sweet vanilla flavor and fragrance that I found pleasant but sensitive users might not like.

Shades:

  • True Beauty (pale mauve)
  • Red Rose (petal red)
  • Belle-ieve (nude)
  • Tres Chic (beige)
  • Savior Faire (nude peachy rose)

These are a sheerer gloss and I was left feeling that there was a missed opportunity to add in a bit more pigment. For example, Red Rose does have a nice color pay off but the other nudes in the collection which I loved veered towards being much more sheerer. I was disappointed. Keep in mind I have fairly pigmented lips though so, if your lips are paler you might see better color pay off. There are just so many lovely nudes here that would benefit from a bit more pigment! The formula is a light slightly sticky formula that has a gel-like consistency that lives lips plush looking and feeling with a shiny finish. They have a shorter wear of around two to three hours. Apologies in advance, I don’t have photos on my lips in this review but that will be updated shortly.

Yeah, they aren’t terribly pigmented and sure, they wear for a shorter time but I really enjoyed this set. The formula was pleasant to wear, the colors are quite lovely, and the packaging has my fangirl side squealing in joy.

Do love!
