Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Radiance Drops For Mermaids Not for Pirates

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

At the moment the Internet is going crazy for mermaid-like glow-y skin and apparently Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Radiance Drops ($32) is about to get that for you. Because you know damn well that if you swim in the ocean all day and you’re out in the sun all day with absolutely no SPF (because I don’t think mermaid’s are smart about SPF) no way you’re coming out of the ocean with crusty ass skin looking like Captain Barbossa. Nope, your skin will have a beautiful dewy glow! Cough NOT cough!

Let’s face it, unicorns are out, mermaids are in. At the moment the Internet is broken because of these drops not to mention people are foaming at the mouth on Instagram in the hopes of getting their hands on Rainforest of the Sea Radiance Drops. And now you can as they launched earlier today with the Tarte Summer 2017 Collection last night on their website and better yet they are available now at Sephora.com.

I dunno if mermaids are or aren’t using these drops as I figure their too busy with their gadgets, gizmos, whozits and whatzits. But you might want to get these for yourself just don’t get too excited as the rest of the Internet because most people are expecting some sort of intense highlighter and from what I’ve seen of Rainforest of the Sea Radiance Drops they look like Maracuja Oil with a little gold mica tossed in. You know my stance at applying oil on my face during the day so I guess this is a skip for me but if you’re interested this jojoba, coconut, maracuja oil infusion will hydrate skin as well as give you a soft, luminous glow like a mermaid not like Captain Barbossa, although a bottle of rum might just get you the same glow.

Get yours now at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Hahaha! Well, boo on the coconut oil. If I use this, I would probably have big zits a plenty.

😉 I’m ok with coconut oil but even as a dry skin girl I refuse to use facial oil in the day, it makes me shiny as hell and my makeup feels like it is melting off. thanks but no thanks!

I’m another who breaks out badly from coconut oil. And yes, I also avoid facial oils during the day. I live in Texas and it gets hot and humid here in the summers, so the last thing I need is oil on my skin before I go out into the humidity and start sweating.

Ugh these trends. I’m 30 so I want a natural look, I don’t want to crash satellites with the radiant dewy glow coming off of my face (unless I’m highlighting my cheekbones for the gods, in which crash away!). I’m starting to feel like all these new trends in makeup target the under 20 crowd and it’s feeling a little alienating.

But if this product makes someone excited and happy, I am happy for them too! We all deserve to feel like unicorns and mermaids and pirates and what have you.

I totally get it. I mean, I’m not 20 anymore that’s for sure but I understand somewhat why they feel the need to market to such a demographic. And I agree, makeup should be about fun and self expression etc…but I have to admit sometimes I do a mental eye roll and end up feeling old because I’m like, “Really? mermaids?” 😀

I don’t understand the hype. Even if it were highlighting drops, what so exciting about that? It’s already been done in this format by CoverFx and liquid highlighters as a product category is not new either. Also, I don’t know about wearing oil (even if has shimmer particles) in hotter weather. Wouldn’t it just feel stickier? I mean, I live in a place where it’s pretty much always hot and humid all year round so I be missing something about seasonal changes, but to me oil is something for dryer months.

I love Tarte (it’s all vegan so I never have to worry about reading the fine print) but it seems like all of the new stuff they’ve released recently has been so gimmicky. Miss me with this product drop, I’m the oiliest beast alive probably. Also I’m going to be 34 next week and work in a professional setting, so I’m more about their powder foundation and lip tints and the classics like the Amazonian Clay blush.

Not all Tarte products are vegan. Says on their website most of them are, but not all. I don’t see on their site that this is Vegan either. Emailing customer service right now to verify.
