Why Are Those Bath & Body Works Hand Creams So Damn Cute?

We’ve been through my shower gel hoarding ways and my candle collection but nowadays my addiction seems to have move into the realms of Bath & Body Works Hand Cream. Why are those Bath & Body Works Hand Creams so damn cute?!?

Worst part? They raised the price on those suckers and you get less product in the new tubes. But damn, they are cute.

The other day I made a rare trip into Bath & Body Works with my friend and she literally purchased 12 tubes! They just kind of sucker you in with the cutesy, colorful labels. I mean, really, you know you want to whip a tube of hand cream out of your bag at brunch that says “Sorry I’m Latte!”

Not to mention suddenly there are literally of hundreds of different fragrances available. Coconut Vanilla, Almond and Tonka Bean, I just need them all. Gimme, gimme, gimme!

But let’s step back because if things continue I’ll have a closet not only for candles and shower gels but also one for hand creams.

Being a beauty addict is the worst sometimes.

Therapy would be cheaper.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. truthfully, I am so over BBW…. I only buy the hand soaps and then only when they’re on sale. The quality has gone downhill so far, I won’t pay for what’s essentially the same generic floral/sweet scent that is now in eveyrthing they make. they really started to lose me when they stopped making the temptations 3 in 1s, and it’s just been a downhill spiral ever since then. I used to really like BBW, but I can’t stand the smell of nearly everything they make now. They used to make a nice range of scents, but now every. dam. thing. smells the same. Sad, because it used to be a rockin’ company – remember when they made makeup and brushes? That didn’t last long, and now… well, I think they just suck now. 🙁

oh wow don’t remember the brushes/makeup do remember the glosses I was obsessed with. I am sad to say that most of their stuff is one big rerun!

But are the hand creams any good at moisturizing your hands? WAY BACK in 2001, I bought a couple of tubes of their hand cream because I was packing to move and my hands were toast. They worked fantastic. Fast forward a couple of years later and they had changed the formula and the hand creams did nothing. However, I am a big fan of their Shea Cashmere hand creams because not only do they work very well, they smell amazing.

The original tubes were good, I thought they were very moisturizing but the new ones seem to be only lightly hydrating. The best ones I’ve come across are def Crabtree & Evelyn!

Nooooo like I need another excuse to go shopping there! My cabinet is full of their foaming handsoap (lined up by season, lol – YES I change my soaps to match the time of year) and use their hand sanitizers at least once a day.

These remind me of the L’Occitaine packaging – I’m gonna have to go get me some! You can never have too much hand cream, amirite? ;D
