Maybelline Spring 2018 brings us new offerings like Lip Studio Python Metallic Lip Kit, Total Temptation Eyeshadow + Highlight Palette, The City Kits All-in-One Eye & Cheek Palette, as well as other makeup goodies.

It’s actually little early for Spring 2018 as typically these collection start previewing in drugstores around the middle of December and into January. But since many drugstore brands appear to be exclusively revealing their newest collections online before stores lately it comes as no surprise they are getting a head start on Spring 2018.

Interestingly enough there isn’t any major trend happening with their collection unless you consider the fact they are still force feeding us yet another round of highlighters and highlighter palettes. I imagine we’ll see more metallics for Spring 2018 and that might just follow through in Summer 2018 looks as well. I tend to look towards drugstore Spring Collections as a way to determine what might be trending in the makeup world in the upcoming seasons but Maybelline doesn’t quite have a “theme” doing on with this release outside of the highlighter one we all know and love (I’m sure there’s some sarcasm in that statement somewhere!).

One of the greatest releases in this collection is the Lip Studio Python Metallic Lip Kit which looks like a duo of powder and cream lip colors. I could be wrong here though! Maybe the promo images just appear to look like powders. None the less, I’m hoping that’s the case as it really brings back great times in my makeup history when powder lipstick was something pretty darn awesome. If you look at these quickly enough you might think they were a duo of eyeshadows. Some of the shade selections are pretty wild like Snakebite which contains a forest green and copper.

One of the strangest released in this collection are the new Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick which are a liquid lipstick with a matte finish but honestly, isn’t that pretty much what Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink is already!?

No haul. But interested in the brow product.

For some reason I never think it’s too early for Fall or Holiday releases! But I don’t get excited for Spring.

At least the prices are reasonable. Unlike that Gigi Hadid collection. But is the quality here? Those palettes look interesting but we all know how their last attempt at palettes went.

  • Amy

I’m interested in the Brow Pencil, Mascara (I love Maybelline Mascaras), and the foundation.

    • Amy

Yeah, I just bought all of the 3 I said I was interested in. I’ll get all 3 before December 1st. Dang you, Maybelline! I’ve been buying SO many products lately.

  • Jane

Interested in the mascara, the pastels eye shadow palette (provided it’s the new creamy formula and not the terrible one of their singles), the eye liners and the moisturizing primer.

I am so. far. over. matte lipsticks that it’s not even funny. When I want a little pick me up, lipstick is still a fave, but I just can’t with matte lips.

Python…..now it has always been a thing, but really questionable as a lip texture style adjective. Tell me it doesn’t squeeze you to death, if you don’t like the look. Idk, it makes me think scaley/placquey rather than powdery or velvety. Not a good connotation, in my book. The colors read rather foresty, rather than spring-like, for the most part, which I DO like. Can’t wait to see the eye duos on.

Very interested in many of the product (mascara, foundation, palette, brow pencil), but will wait till enough amount of review pop up/ BOGO sale

oh it all looks so good! Maybelline is my fave drugstore brand! thanks!! ( I think my fave may be the mascara.)

  • breyerchic04

I will want to see reviews, but that pastel eye/cheek palette looks fun for january to april for me…

  • Brandy

Oh boy! I want the eyeliner, mascara, and hydrating primer. The highlighters look nice too, but I have enough to last me until my death.
