Too Faced Spring 2018 Featuring Diamond Highlighter

Too Faced Spring 2018 is being previewed today with a new Diamond Highlighter that’s sure to cause some mad frenzy in the makeup community. As of now the only item available for purchase is the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette but the other items are set to arrive shortly.

Too Faced have always been early to preview their Spring Collections but this year they are even more earlier than usual. It’s an excellent sales tactic to say the least as we’re all more inclined to spend money at the moment versus after the Holidays when our pockets are feeling a little lighter.

The highlight of the collection is the Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette which appears to be a considerably better offering from Too Faced compared to some of their more recent palette flops. Let’s not sugarcoat it, Too Faced has been off their game for a while now. One of the other stars in the release is a new Diamond Highlighter which brings me way back to Holiday 2007 when Givenchys Diamantisimme Collection launched and with it the cutest highlighter ever. Housed in a diamond ring-like box this was a pretty shimming white highlighter that released for a limited time and yes, I do still have it (don’t worry I haven’t used it in years). At that time it was quite a prized possession for me but looking back I realized I never got as much use out of it.

Too Faced brings back some of that magic though as their Diamond Highlighter looks just as cute and even though I’m not a fond fan of highlighters I still find myself wanting it. Another notable
item in this release is the slightly ridiculous Too Faced Glow Job Radiance-Boosting Glitter Face Mask. Yes, a glitter facial mask. This is a peel-off mask that looks like it contains cosmetic glitter and acts to brighten up dull skin. It sounds awesome as I have dull skin and I’d love a brighter complexion and the glitter is an a great marketing technique but not such a great skincare choice.

Now as for Spring Collections, Too Faced doesn’t specifically market this as a Spring launch. It seems like brands do seasonal collections less and less and just focus on release after release without really cornering them into any specific season. But I’ll just throw it out there and say I consider it a Spring 2018 launch but we all know by the time Spring rolls around Too Faced will have something else up their sleeve!

You haven’t used Disco Kitten? You might just lose your K beauty stature, if you don’t get on that right away! You can forego the tf, if you go I dew care!

I have! Reviewed it some months ago 🙂 But that isn’t quite the glittery mess this is. That turns silver but no real glitter in the mix!

oh my god the glitter mask is pink, and that highlight, i am not normally that into too faced but…

Hi Muse, I know this has nothing to do with this particular post, but I need your advice! For the Rouge $25 reward event, I want to buy either the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette or the Too-Faced Matte Peach Palette. I read both of your reviews but I can’t make a decision. Do you recommend one over the other in terms of quality or what you reach for more? I love mattes, don’t have anything like those peach/pink/red colors in my stash, and have never tried ABH before, but love my Too-Faced Natural Matte Palette. Any thoughts??

Hi L! I’d recommend the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette versus the Too Matte Peach Palette. The shades are silky, highly blendable and very unique. TF Matte Peach is lovely but I think ABH has a much nicer palette with a better shade range. Hope this helps!

I like the diamond highlighter for its shape and package. I will not be getting though. Enough with highlighters. Women are walking around like they have candles in their cheeks. Not a good look ladies. When I first saw this, I thought it was a color correcting powder. That would have been cool.

I like the look as well but ITA! Highlighters are just TOO much lately!

Huh… this actually looks like the first decent collection from TF all year! I kind of want everything but the face mask. 😮
