Bath & Body Works Releases Gym Bag Essentials Or Zombie Apocalypse Ones

Fresh in a Flash, Shower in a Bottle (dude, you can use this on yoga mat! Seriously!), these are just a few of the new products launched in the Bath & Body Work’s Active Skincare Collection for Spring 2018. There are some gym bag essentials items here you might want to pick up to stow away if you keep a locker at your local gym.

This seems to be a common trend in the makeup world where beauty mixes in with your trip to the gym. I mean I dunno how glamorous I wanna be at the gym but lately there are any number of collections that are geared towards that such as the CliniqueFIT line, Tarte’s Athleisure Collection, and even the E.L.F. Active Collection.

Personally, I think any number of these items would be handy during the zombie apocalypse. Like, for example, Bath & Body Works Shower in a Bottle No-Rinse Body Cleansing Foam should be one you totally put in your zombie plague emergency kit. Because water will likely be an important commodity when the dead walk the earth and no one wants to use water to wash with. We need it to drink why would we waste it on washing ourselves? So, hey, cleansing foam! No water needed. You can apparently massage this on and it’ll refresh and cleanse your skin without water. See? Totally created zombie apocalypse and not the gym!

What is with the weird font on the packaging? Just like the new Covergirl packaging this is ugly.
I see these products on clearance by their next semi-annual sale.

I’m loving these as zombie apocalypse items! The first thing I do when I go to the gym is hit the sink and wash my face clear of any makeup, because I sweat a lot and it clogs my pores and breaks me out. Adding makeup to the mix is disaster.

I went to one gym that had no showers and as soon as I finished, I went to the restroom and used baby wipes (effective and cheaper than makeup wipes) to get the sweat off my face. That’s a trick I learned camping and it works, so I think a waterless cleansing foam is pretty genius.

But I’m concerned about that body/yoga mat spray. Whhhhaaaat? I feel like it’s either going to leave a slippery residue on the mat OR dry out my skin. I don’t feel like there’s anything that’s going to benefit both my skin and a yoga mat. Someone find out for me!

I never sprayed my yoga mat with mist before but I have used Evian during a session on my face and chest. Thankfully never made anything slippery because it is such a fine, fine mist. However, BBW looks like it shoots out like windex so I’d def be concerned about things being slippery or wet. P.S. I totally get you about makeup. I don’t break out but typically I just want all my makeup off when I’m doing anything workout related. I’m working out not walking a runway ;D

interesting but if you sweat after working out you REALLY should just take a shower. no cleansing foam nonsense.

I noticed the set up last night from across the mall hall (I work at a Le Chateau in my hometown mall PT) and it looks very intriguing. That spray especially- if it doubles as a body refreshing spray *and* a yoga matt refreshing spray that’s okay for use on natural matts that would be BA!

PS: you spray your matt after you use it 🙂 That way you don’t worry about washing it. A lot of yoga studios will have rented matts available that they or you can spray with a blend of cleansing oils (or straight up cleaners to reduce the spread of germs and the stank of multiple people using them).

I dunno if I need a yoga matt spray! I just use baking soda and a few drops of lemon oil and mist it after using it and allow it to air dry! 😀

That’s actually a very good recipe. Also, I tried it out (by accident because I wasn’t paying attention and the nozzle in comparison to the handle was weird and sprayed myself on my face because that’s my life lately ). The smell isn’t strong. It was pretty gentle and it took the make up off where it met skin (my chin, right cheek and right side of my neck). So it would probably be pretty effective with sweat and whatever grime the zombie apocalypse might bring.
