5 Things Kiko Just Launched for Spring 2018 I Need

Kiko Free Soul for Spring 2018 just launched and there are so many things I need from this collection! I know we had some rather sad news about Kiko going bankrupt and closing many of their US store locations but they still have their online shop and the bankruptcy news hasn’t stopped them from launching a stellar Spring 2018 Collection.

Here are five things I need from that collection ASAP.

P.S. You might need them too!

Kiko Free Soul Baking Powder ($16) is a new matte face powder available in banana and peach shades which of course, had me at hello. I don’t bake my under eye area nor my face but I am an avid user of banana shaded powders to set my concealer as I like their effect under my eyes since they provide a nice brightening effect and the perfect finishing touch under my eyes. This is available in banana and peach shades and they actually look a lot like the Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder.

Another item to catch my eye is the new Kiko Free Soul Concealer which is a mere $12 bucks and promises a fluid formula. Fluid? I’m in. Fluids are typically easier to blend and that’s exactly what they promise. Apparently it has a baking finish effect hmmm…! And provides full coverage. We’ll see! Speaking about things for your eyes there is also a new Free Soul Blurring Eye Balm! Let me take things way back for a minute here! Anyone remember Clarins Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate and LOreal Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Eye Smoother? That’s exactly what this reminds me of! Although they do say it provides instant radiance which gives eyes a fresh look. Hmm wonder if it’ll make a good prep for concealer?!

Free Soul Blurring Eye Balm

Speaking of blurring there’s a new Free Soul Blurring & Moisturizing Face Cream ($28) which appears to be a dupe of Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer which I happen to like a lot. This smooths, hydrates, and contains collagen and hyaluronic acid to prep skin prior to makeup application.

And finally the Kiko Free Soul Eyeshadow Palette ($22) in Free Spirits looks like a gorgeous selection of warmer dusky roses!

With all the silliness of unicorns and mermaids making the rounds this Spring I’m happy to see a brand who actually put out a Spring Collection of wearable shades that contains not only some great color cosmetics but some great prepping items as well.

The Kiko Free Soul Spring 2018 Collection is available now at kikocosmetics.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Wow this stuff looks awesome! I guess I will have to order online since I never got to my closest Kiko store and I doubt they’d have new stuff with them closing soon.

  • Agona

I’m waiting until the end of the month to place a Kiko order but I’m thinking of picking up the shadows in this collection and the highlighter, blush, and mood (pH) lippie from the V-Day collection (Lips Me Lots).

Glad you’re still supporting Kiko and continuing to tell us they are online and show us their stuff. Big U now has Essence and Ofra banana powders, if you’re in a banana haul mood.

Hi…you should check the concealers shades before to order…they look off to me…check it on Instagram…#kikotrenndstters…or #kikomakeupmilano…I always check in those hashtags…before ordering on line….

I reach for my kilo intense eyeliners&cocoa shock blush (thanks to your awesome reviews I learned about Kiko ) alot. Banana powder I have to try!

    • Agona

Ooo, thanks for the recommend. I think I’ll have to try their eyeliners. I have yet to find a HG pencil eyeliner that doesn’t smudge–mainly because I use eye cream under my eyes and my eyelids are mono and oily.

Same Here! I just cannot keep eyeliner on for long it seems lol
          Hate primers, feels uncomfortable.

Kiko Intense I have in #08 and a few others (their greens are amazing, all are rich colors can’t go wrong ) and this stays a good while on me. Its not perfect, but with oily, kind of hooded like mine, it helps to let eye cream dry a bit first, but i didn’t yesterday…. no raccoon eyes whew lol. This& Bobbi brown gel eyeliner is as close to HG as I’ve gotten. For inexpensive, Kiko is great to try, Muse is right

Maybe that’s my problem is I don’t give the eye serum/creams enough time to sink in before I slap on my makeup.

I noticed this with foundation too. If I don’t let all my lotions and potions sink in, I sometimes get my skincare/foundation pilling when I go to apply the foundation.
