Bed, Bath, and Beyond $10 Off $30 Coupon To Replace 20% Off?

The new Bed, Bath, and Beyond $10 Off $30 coupon are starting to ship out via snail mail and I’m sure by now some of you have gotten at least one. As you may know back in 2015 there was some news outlets that mentioned that the home goods store would be scaling back on the 20% off coupons they so generously send out to consumers because studies showed that most people didn’t shop at the store without one of those coupons handy. And with good reason, as everything at Bed, Bath, and Beyond seems grossly overpriced compared to their competitors such as Amazon.

However, that 20% off was incentive to head on in because it would cut the cost down on that new coffee maker or frying pan you wanted not to mention Bed, Bath, and Beyond has an extensive beauty section in some stores that make heading into stores all the more enjoyable for makeup junkies.

The store has been in trouble for a while but from my understanding they might have plans in the works to improve the entire chain. Like most brick and mortar stores they face fierce competition from online retailers plus the often higher marked up prices make for poor selling points.

Right now, if you’re a bit of a fearless investor you might want to pick up a bit of their stock since it is hitting a low. If the promise of new changes is true it might reflect back on any investments you make now. The stock has tanked 75% since 2015 and even Wall Street feels like at the current selling price it isn’t low enough. So, yeah, fearlessness is key here.

But I digress! Let’s get back to coupons. I have gotten a 20% coupon in the mail quite recently! Perhaps two weeks ago but more recently I got two $10 off $30 coupons. I do wonder if they plan to phase out the 20% off coupon in the future. I actually love this change because 85% of my purchases at the store are makeup ones. And let’s be honest those 20% off a single item really don’t help much on an $8 drugstore mascara.

The bad news is if your purchase is over $50 you’re def losing out if they do phase out those 20% off coupons. So, if you’re looking at the $1000 espresso machine that makes fabulous coffee drinks while walking the door and reading your kid a bedtime story, well, you’re crumb out of luck.

However, if you’re like me and scour Bed, Bath, and Beyond for the latest drugstore makeup picks and you’re spending $50 or so doing it that $10 off $30 coupon is quite nice.

I’m looking forward to seeing how things pan out for Bed, Bath, and Beyond in the future. I generally like the the store and I’d miss them if they disappeared and closed shop.

What do you think of these new coupons?

Yeah, that’s sad. I bought my Vitamix there a few years back and saved like $75 with the coupon! I haven’t gotten a $10 off coupon yet. Not willing to buy stock in brick and mortars though.. I’m older and can’t afford the risk.

their vitamix prices always seem crazy high at BBB but saving $75 that’s damn good. Mmm you gotta be suicidal to do it in all honesty. I don’t mind playing around a little but I wouldn’t say I’m completely fearless with stocks like this one. I imagine though if we didn’t and it suddenly shot through the roof lol! the irony, oh the irony! Maybe if I was 25!

I’ve always been disappointed that none of the BBBs in my city carry makeup. Phoenix is a pretty big city so it’s not like there isn’t a market for it here. I stopped shopping at BBB quite a while ago because, like you said Muse, they’re just grossly overpriced. Everything they carry can be bought so much cheaper elsewhere. I won’t be the least surprised if they go out of business.

I’m surprised all of them aren’t equipped with makeup! It surprises me when I walk into one without a beauty section OR a small beauty section with essentials like deo and hairbrushes but not makeup! It’s weird for me to see that! I dunno about OOB completely but potentially closing stores!

The prices at BB&B seem to be about 20% over what you can find elsewhere on most home and kitchen items, which makes shopping there with a coupon pretty much a “break even” experience. I’m okay with them changing their coupons, if they restructure their prices at the same time.

    • Isabella Muse

mmm depends. Sometimes, sometimes, I can grab something at a good rate using the 20% off. But yes 99% of the time it is break even!

Idk. What was most fab about the ‘old’ coupons is that they never expired, regardless of the date, and you could use multiple at one time. Not saying this wasn’t my local going against corporate policy…and maybe that’s part of the problem. But you could use a $ off and a % coupon dated 2014 on the same purchase, just not on the same items. Hope they don’t go under, though don’t shop there like I once did.

  • Adrienne

I agree about the perks of the coupons never expiring was a great thing and locally we could use our Buy Buy Baby coupons there too. We were never allowed to use more than one at a time. I rarely got % off coupons but mainly a lot of $5/$15 because after reading Muses blog and realizing we only have 1 location that carried Beauty products I would go there a lot. They tried to talk me into the credit card for more discounts but I declined because it would quickly add up . I will still shop there because they are more reasonable than CVS and will accept manufacturer’s coupons.

they haven’t said anything about not using expired coupons so hopefully that doesn’t change! They stopped letting us use Buy Buy Baby coupons. They only allow them if you buy baby stuff! I rarely get the $5 off $15 but get a lot of 20% off! I wish I got more of the fiver ones, they are considerably better than 20% off one item!

Have you looked into the Beyond + program? Annual fee of $29 – 20% off entire purchase in store or online – free shipping. The online part is great because otherwise you can only use one 20% off coupon per order. If you spend $150 a year you will be break even.

  • Chris

I was in a Buy Buy Baby store today & used the Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupons on the items I bought. I needed another coupon & was told I could come back within 90 days with that extra coupon for that price adjustment. That’s pretty generous.

I’m trying to obtain a coupon towards a purchase at bed bath and beyond .
Any info on how to get one I’d appreciate.
