Did You Know You Can Use Your Victoria’s Secret Credit Card at Bath & Body Works?

Early last month when I was at Victoria’s Secret I heard a sales rep ask someone if they’d like to fill out for a credit card. The customer was quick to decline but the sales rep wasn’t giving up so easily and enticed the customer by saying, “You can use the Victoria’s Secret Credit Card at Bath & Body Works too!”

This comes as no great surprise considering a few year’s ago I walked into Bath & Body Works and they had a few Pink items on their shelves. I was surprised to say the least as I didn’t realize the two brands were owned by the same parent company which is L Brands. And even if I did know at the time it was still rather unusual and slightly weird to be presented with Victoria’s Secret beauty products at Bath & Body Works.

The thing is both share fairly common products. Fragrance mists, body lotions, perfumes, etc…each of the two stores carries all of these things but they still have managed to have their own distinctive lines. Victoria’s Secret in particular excels at creating perfume where as Bath & Body Works only releases a single perfume a year if we’re lucky.

None the less, each brand is very different in my opinion but I did find the cross credit card use very interesting.

I wonder what this might mean going forward. Isn’t it only credit care use or will we see it extended to how the stores work together in the future? I mean at some point are we going to stroll into the mall and see White Barn slash Bath & Body Works slash Victoria’s Secret stores?

Or maybe Victoria’s Secret will start carrying candles?

I’m here for the candles!

Seriously, aren’t you? Imagine a Very Sexy candle? I’m on board! Or a Love Spell one? Although, I am guilty of buying Love Spell scented stuff at etsy.com.

But I digress, the good news here is if you do have a Victoria’s Secret Credit Card you can now use it at Bath & Body Works!

Yes, it’s been like this for a couple years with the credit card. And, VS did have a couple candles a few years back and I saw that Pink has a couple candles right now. L brands gets a lot of my hard-earned cash! 🙂

Yes but not online only in the store. This was the case he last time I checked around Christmas.

I thought this was common knowledge but I guess it’s just because the limited (now L brands) HQ is a local company and my dad worked for them at one point.

At one point they owned The limited, Limited too, White barn and Justice, VS, Bath and Body Works, Express, Lane Bryant (to name a few off of the top of my head).

Limited too eventually broke away and became their own company (Tween brands) running Justice and LT (dad left to work for them until they had mass corporate layoff in 08). And they’ve sold off just about everything except B&BW and VS. Locals have a love hate relationship with L brands-.-

I had no idea that you could do this. I knew they were owned by the same parent company but had no idea the credit card could be used across the board!

Yes ! I worked at VS in the year 2005 ish or so… and for sure since at least that year (and I’m pretty sure even before the year 2005) you were able to use your VS credit card at BBW. I agree tho , odd pairing!

I’ve been using the VS card at bath & body works for years! And VS used to have candles!

I’ve done this for years. I thought it was common knowledge. I just used my card Sunday to take advantage of the $12.95 candle deal. Got a lot of good ones for gifts. Can’t wait for the semi annual sale,

The Limited, Henri Bendel, Victoria’s Secret, and Barh and Body are all owned by the L group. (I have a degree in fashion marketing so you learn these things ). Want to see something interesting look up LVMH and see everything they own, including a liquor company.

    • Isabella Muse

Yeah I know 🙂 Pretty much covered on LVMH too ;-D They own a few liquor brands actually!

My card wouldn’t work at the Bath and Body Works store. Just kept saying transaction could not be completed….wonder why? It was not declined because of available credit….I just paid it off.

But why is it that you can only use the Victoria’s Secret card in the Bath and Body Works store and not online with Bath and Body Works?
