Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette Coming to Macys

Didn’t I just say there would likely be more on the way from Urban Decay this Summer? More comes in the form of the Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette that’s available exclusively at macys.com.

This is quite an interesting shade range as it contains some sandy dune shades that aren’t really Urban Decay’s regular round up of nudes. The colors are sparkles with a metallic color shifting finish and shades are called:

  • Nude
  • Vibe
  • Paradox
  • Golden Hour
  • Influence

They haven’t released a price yet but I imagine it’ll be around $29-$30 range or at least I hope as I don’t think it is worth more than that. This releases comes close on the heels of the Urban Decay Beached Eyeshadow Palette and I suspect Sephora might also get some sort of exclusive launch. I do think Macy’s is becoming a major contender lately in the beauty world with their 15% off coupons that can be used towards beauty and exclusives from brands like Urban Decay and Tarte.

Will you be picking up the Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette?

Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette is available now at macys.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Hi Muse. This is an easy pass for me. I have similar shades. Plus I just ordered the Beached palette based on your great review. Most likely this new one will go on sale soon like the Kirsten collection.

I’m torn with this one. It looks nice but that weird cooler, smokier shade seems off in the palette! You are right about it going on sale! LMK how you like the Beached Palette!

of course, that’s the only one that pulls me in, lol. Not only are these shades DTD (done to death) but a tad too sparkly for my current preferences.

      • Sleepybird

That weird cooler smoky shade is the only one I want lol! I have a dozen dupes of all the others.

        • Isabella Muse

I’m so boring I was just looking at the nudes and felt like the smokier shade was weird!

It looks a lot like Colourpops shade called Glass Bull. It’s one of my faves

As much as I love UD, this does not do anything for me. I ordered the Beached palette and that is much prettier than this. This looks sort of boring and it also looks like the first three shades would be really sheer. IDK, in the Summer, I like tropical hues and that’s exactly what the Beached palette delivers. Props to you, Muse, as you did predict there would be more UD palettes. Let’s hope there aren’t too many more, as I am low on funds, but at least I can safely say I will not order this unless it goes on clearance…

I sort of like it but also agree with you seems like it might be sheerer and the one darker shade is throwing me!

So Sephora got Backtalk, Ulta got Beached, and Macy’s get this one, which looks boring to me. Honestly, why can’t they release fewer products but with better quality, and release them everywhere? Rant over. (I do think Beached is pretty but have dupes, and I may get Backtalk if it’s half price or less soon.)

I love Urban Decay but the Lightbeam eyeshadow palette does nothing for me. I will pass on that one. Thanks to your great and very helpful reviews I’m actually more interested in the UD Beached palette and the Maybelline Lemonade Craze palette. Those shadows scream summer fun to me!

    • Isabella Muse

Aw my pleasure. I’m sort on the fence with this one. Some level of me likes the sandy shades and another part of me is like, meh boring!

  • Sara

Well…I’m the weirdo. Looks really pretty to me. Not that I need it. LOL

Good call, and yesterday at that. Undoubtedly duped in stash, and seldom used. I think Lightbeam looks like UD does Bobbi Brown, where they are low pigment and all somehow look alike in intensity or some other dimension/quality. In some of those BB surf and sand style palettes with no divider between the shades, all the aquas look the same, as do all the sandy shades, when swatched or on. Pretty in the pan, but also pretty useless. Sorry, UD, does not even look like a good gift. I had a big UD hiatus, no palettes since Vice 4 on sale, then got stung by Backtalk. Maybe that’s a good plan, hiatus.

Macy’s has been great. I just discovered they carry Sunday Riley!
