I’d Buy Tarte Cosmic Maracuja Concentrated Face Balm If It Was Shimmer-Free

Tarte Cosmic Maracuja Concentrated Face Balm ($42) is a rather cool way to get your daily dose of maracuja oil in. This balm contains non different oils and is ideal for drier skin tones. Most people HATE the idea of jar packaged skincare but I actually sort of like the idea of a solid version of maracuja oil. You can glide your fingers over the surface and apply it on the areas of your face that are the driest plus it seems like a less greasy way to use facial oil in the day as you can just target the driest areas on your face and not your entire face as we all know applying facial oil all over our face can lead to a good deal of shine and dewiness.

Problem? Yes. This contains huge flakes of gold. WHY!?!??! I don’t understand why they’d launch a brand new product and spike it with golden flakes of shimmer. They also released a gold version of their popular maracuja oil but at least with that you have the option to buy the original shimmer-free version. With Cosmic Maracuja Concentrated Face Balm it’s gold or go home.

I’d buy this if they did away with the gold flakes!

Right???? Ugh, this sounds amazing and like something my face needs lol. But so unnecessary to use glitter/shimmer/gold stuff in any skincare product, in my opinion. Grrr.
