Stila Dollish Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

Stila Dollish Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow ($24) is a rather gorgeous coral pink with gold shimmer that launched a few weeks exclusively at beautylish.com. I quickly snatched this shade up as although they describe it as a sparkling pink even the promo images give it a peachy coral look and I’m all about peach and coral anything.

Granted, I purchased this way before I knew about the peach palette that launched with the Covergirl Peaches & Chocolate Collection. And this weekend I was quite lucky enough to find that palette and Dollish Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow goes so brilliantly with it! Even if you dislike the Glitter & Glow Eyeshadow formula or feel it doesn’t work for you please buy it anyway! It’ll go so great with peachy powder eyeshadows as you can use it as a base of topcoat to add a pretty peachy coral sparkle to your eyes.

Stila is one of the latest brands to land at Beautylish and in celebration the store got three exclusive shades one of which is Dollish. This formula is the standard lightweight gel texture that has glitter and pearl particles. I tend to wear it on my bare lids and find it fairly easy to blend and build up without having creasing issues nor fall out through the wear. It’s not a formula glitter haters will love but I adore it and think it really adds a pretty shimmer to my lids. You can of course, use it as a topcoat as well should you like. I’ve used it all over my lids at times and I’ll accent with powder eyeshadow which I did below in one of my photos. I used Dollish all over the lid and accented the outer corner with a bit of peach from the LOreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette. I could have just as easily did my entire look with the palette and topped the completed look with Dollish as well. The formula is quite versatile.

The Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow is a little weird at times as you aren’t always lucky to get the color to the tube to translate as beautifully on lids. I find some of the lighter shades are a bit sheerer where as the darker ones show up best. I’d say I experienced some of that with Dollish. A single layer was quite sheerer but I built it up quite nicely and was able to see a lot of the delicious peachy pink on my lids. I have to admit that this worked out for me a lot better than the recent Coral Crush Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow I tried!

The effect is quite pretty and the color is ideal for Summer looks!

Overall, I’m quite happy with the Stila Dollish Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow. I’m glad I purchased it. Shame it isn’t part of today’s Ulta deal as all shades of Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow are on sale for $14 each today only. Damn!

Oh well!

Who

Unfortunately, I always find Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow is a hit or miss with people. Some people love it, others hate it. Personally, it’s a love for me and well worth picking up if you love shimmer. The formula truly is one of the nicest ones out there at the moment and really evoke a sense of, “Damn! I need all these shades!” Dollish in particular is a very pretty shade for Summer looks and I think it’s a must have for lovers of this formula!

Love it but hoping it shows up at Ulta so I can get my points! 🙂

Unless you’re desperate for this, backburner it until Beautylish Black Friday. Those 20s are excellent. You can use them to defray way expensive stuff that seemed out of your price range, and are good for a whole year, iirc. But Beautylish has a low free shipping threshold, and getting a ‘lish box makes you feel like a member of the royal wedding. And B has true customer service, unlike unmentionable others!

I love these Stila Shimmer, Glitter & Glow eye shadows! When a color is a tad sheer or sheers out, I just layer. For example, I love putting Retro Rose Gold on top of Jezebel…Or over another cream, like MUFE Aqua XL Color Paint. And for date night, I love dotting them over metallic eye shadow shades. It is shimmery glittery happiness. 🙂

p.s. I love the new design and format of the blog. It is very pretty…Very Muse indeed! Cheers!

I use them as topcoats if they are too sheer ;D yay thanks so much Elise 😀 I’m glad to hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Muse, so…I have REALLY REALLY oily eyelids and cream shadows NEVER stay on my lids for long before they start creasing. These Stila shadows seem really nice, but do they stay on all day?

    • Isabella Muse

Hi Z! I’m the opposite. I have really, really dry lids and they do stay on without creasing on my eyes but I can’t really say for oily lids. You might need to prep really well with these!

This looks very nice on you. I will have to bring mine out and try again. I have oily lids so I will have to see how it works.
