5 stars out of 5

Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere Eau de Toilette is the brand’s newest fragrance that’s a re-take on their very popular Fresh Cream Perfume that everyone loves so much. QVC had a Today’s Special Value with the scent and I wasn’t going to purchase the set as I felt like I didn’t need everything that came with it but in the end I gave in because I realized what a great deal it was.

The set includes a huge 32 oz 3-in-1 Shower Gel, a 16 oz Glazed Body Souffle, and a 4 oz fragrance. I just felt like I have way too much shower gel and getting yet another massive bottle felt very unnecessary to me.

Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere launched about two weeks ago on Ulta’s website but I haven’t had the chance to sniff it in store as none of the stores I went to had a bottle. It must have been faith that during the Today’s Special Value launch I located a bottle at Ulta and was able to finally sniff it. I fell in love with it but a 2 oz bottle was $40 bucks. I didn’t hesitate splurging the extra $20 and grabbing the QVC set as I got a 4 oz bottle plus the two extra body care items. Even if I don’t need yet another shower gel I’m still happy to have hauled this was it was a great deal plus I’m really, really loving this scent.

If you want the set it’s still very much available at qvc.com in your choice of scents. I’d highly recommend grabbing it at this price as why spend $40 when you can get a bottle of the scent at double the size plus all the extras for $20 more and free shipping!

If you’re a little uncertain about blind buying a fragrance don’t be scared as this is a very easy pick up for anyone that loves vanilla or gourmand fragrances. It does not disappoint. It’s especially an easy pick for those who loved the original Fresh Cream fragrance.

As with the original blend this contains a healthy dose of super sweet creamy vanilla topped with fresh whipped cream. My friend and reader of Musings of a Muse, Felicia, told me she smelled a bit of Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush in the mix but I honestly didn’t get that. My body chemistry morphs this into a warm, slightly spicy sugar cookie blend. It’s delicious! I just want to drink it.

I think the original blend had a very clean white cake vanilla note but this fragrance has a cheekier side with a bit of spiciness. I thought it would smell like DKNY’s Cashmere Mist for some reason but it doesn’t at all. It’s all vanilla, cake, and a warm, comforting spiciness that makes me feel like I walked into a kitchen where someone was baking snickerdoodles.

This is yummy and a must have so I’m slapping a Muse Approval on it.

I had some reservations about ordering the set from QVC but I’m glad I didn’t miss out on the great deal. The layering set really allowed the scent to project and linger on my skin. The scent itself lasted quite long without the help of the other items but it was nice having a body cream to layer it with to give it an even more intense warmth and throw.

Loves it!

Don’t miss it.

My nose must be weird because I didn’t get a lot of vanilla from the original Fresh Cream. It smelled like old, somewhat sour milk to me!

    • Isabella Muse

wow that’s weird. The perfume or the shower gel? The shower gel always smelled weird to me but the perfume is like white fluffy vanilla cake!

      • Codename Duchess

Both the shower gel and the body cream. I can’t recall if I tried to perfume spray or not.

I have bad luck with dairy themed fragrances in general, so maybe it isn’t a huge surprise that it smells off to me.

the gel and body cream smell weird on me too, I liked the perfume spray a lot better! The shower gel smelled like wet dog to me!

You were right! I was in Ulta this morning and decided to try the spray version of Fresh Cream and it does smell soooo different than I remember the body wash and soufflé smelling! White cake is a spot on description. I also tried the Warm Cashmere version and it’s lovely.

YAY!!! I’m glad to hear it ;-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Felicia

Aww you called me your friend. I’m honored. Lol. I was just getting ready to message you and tell you I just saw Mally Poreless face defender minis on Ulta’s website for $19. They’d probably be better for travel. I’ve never seen one in a mini size, have you? I know how much you like them and probably don’t need any more right now but…

    • Isabella Muse

you are though! ;-D I saw those too! Totally worth a score for travel ;-D I have, I think she had one in a TSV a longgg time ago! Because I remember having one but it got all used up! ;-D Thanks for the heads up though ;-D could totally use a smaller version again for travel!

I felt the same way–thought that the last thing I need is more shower gel, but in the end I caved in and am glad I did. I also love Cashmere Mist and for some reason thought it would be similar, just from the way they described it. But you are very accurate in your description. When I got home my husband said I smelled good and “like snickerdoodle cookies” and kept sniffing me. 🙂 It’s a nice, soft fragrance–I really like it. So now I have still more shower gel, but I am also looking forward to using the body cream.

    • Isabella Muse

yay! I’m so glad you got it and also smelled the snickerdoodle thing ;-D totally had the spicy sugar cookie thing going on ;-D I needed more shower gel like a whole in my head but I’m glad I got it!
